  • Patent number: 10607122
Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for improvement of machine learning systems based on enhanced training data. An example method includes generating an interactive classification user interface concurrently displaying a first group of medical images and a second group of medical images, each group depicting objects associated with a respective classification. User input indicating movement of medical images from the first group to the second group is detected. The moved medical images are classified according to the second group. The re-classified medical images are provided to a machine learning system, with the machine learning system updating based on analysis of object characteristics of the re-classified medical images to increase accuracies associated with automated assignment of classifications.

  • Patent number: 10565710
Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for determination of lesions identified in medical images of differing perspectives. One of the methods includes obtaining images of a breast of a patient, each image being from a perspective, wherein the images include at least a first image and a second image. A skin contour line representing an obliquity of a chest wall of the patient is determined. A posterior nipple line extending from a nipple included in the first image is determined that perpendicularly intersects with the skin contour line. An interactive user interface is presented that includes the posterior nipple line on the first image. Compatibility information for lesions indicated in each of the first and second image is determined, the information indicating whether a first lesion in the first image is a same lesion in the breast as a second lesion in the second image.

The system may then provide the request to the appropriate experts, and receive opinions back from the experts in response to the request. The opinions may then be provided back to the person that submitted the request. The request may include various characteristics and/or criteria that may be matched to, or satisfied by, other characteristics or criteria associated with the experts. The system may include aspects whereby requests and/or opinions may be anonymized and/or combined.

  • Patent number: 10521908
Abstract: Methods and systems for generating and displaying a simulated anatomical photograph based on a medical image generated by an imaging modality. The system comprises an electronic processor configured to receive the medical image, determine an anatomical structure in the medical image, and automatically generate the simulated anatomical photograph based on the anatomical structure, wherein the pixels of the simulated anatomical photograph represent a simulated cross-sectional anatomical photograph of the anatomical structure. The electronic processor is also configured to determine a degree of confidence of a portion of the simulated anatomical photograph, compare the degree of confidence to a threshold, and, in response to the degree of confidence of the portion of the simulated anatomical photograph failing to satisfy the threshold, display the portion of the simulated anatomical photograph differently from another portion of the simulated anatomical photograph.

  • Publication number: 20190354270
Abstract: For certain medical images, it is important and/or required that a user view all of a medical image at full resolution so that minute, but important, indicia in the medical image are not missed. A computing systems monitor the portions of the medical image that are displayed on the display device, notates those portions that have been displayed at full resolution (or other user-defined display parameters), and provides the user with information indicating portions that have not been viewed at full resolution and/or provides information indicating for which images of a multiple image examination full pixel display has been accomplished. The process reduces the possibility of missing an abnormality in a medical image due to the viewer not viewing a portion of the image at full resolution or using other user defined display parameters.
