  • Publication number: 20240124274
Abstract: An extendable needle davit assembly has an extendable beam comprising a fixed beam portion, and a telescopic beam portion slidably receivable within a distal end of the fixed beam portion. An intermediate lateral bracing frame holds the extendable beam at an angle. The fixed beam portion is a single-piece construction, and a proximal end of the fixed beam portion is anchored. An upper end of the bracing frame is attached to a distal attachment point of the fixed beam portion, such that a distal portion of the fixed beam portion extends beyond the bracing frame. A lower portion of the bracing frame is attached to a proximal attachment point of the fixed beam portion by means of a rear brace.

  • Publication number: 20240100374
Abstract: A height safety trolley and modular rigid rail system for construction and maintenance personnel working at height is designed to allow continuous, smooth and fail-safe operation, for fall restraint and fall arrest, rope access and abseil. The height safety trolley has a connection arm, a clip body and a main chassis operably interfacing a rail engagement mechanism, movable between a rail engagement position to engage a rigid rail, and a disengagement position to disengage the rigid rail. The rail engagement mechanism may comprise integral pivot arms which close simultaneously inwards to engage the rigid rail and outwards to disengage the rail. As such, the trolley is easily and safely attachable and detachable at any position along the rigid rail.

  • Publication number: 20240100373
Abstract: A fall protection safety rail system has a rail defining a trolley channel therein. The rail also defines exterior side and top attachment channels. The system has a support which engages the side attachment channels to support the rail either side thereof. One type of support may comprise a hanger channel bracket having a web and flanges spaced apart so that the flanges fit against the sides of the rail. The side and top attachment channels may be dual-purposed for connecting rail sections together using respective splices. Furthermore, the side attachment channels may overlap with the trolley channel along a vertical axis but not along a horizontal axis to confer a low profile rail configuration having enhanced resilience and capability.

  • Publication number: 20220280818
Abstract: A structural post for fall arrest and rope access has a baseplate having baseplate fixing holes. A vertical mast is attached to an upper surface of the baseplate, and a main attachment plate comprising main attachment plate fixing holes is affixed to an upper end of the mast. The structural post may be mounted to concrete floor garden landscapes, steel structures and the like on high-rise buildings, for fall arrest and rope access, and which facilitates versatility and adaptability for various locations and applications, for construction, beside cleaning and other building and maintenance activities.

  • Patent number: 11091957
Abstract: A modular ladder system has a rung section having two elongate lateral stile extrusions and elongate rung extrusions spanning therebetween. Each stile extrusion may define an attachment side having an attachment face which has two attachment channels which are adjacent, parallel and longitudinally arranged along the attachment face. Each attachment channel may have inward facing rails which define an elongate insertion space therebetween and a relatively wider connector head accommodation void thereunderneath. Furthermore, each rail may define a connector head engaging under edge. Each stile extrusion may further define a connection side adjacent to the attachment side which may define a splice joint extrusion accommodating void therein. In this way, the present modular ladder system may be quickly and easily constructed and various accessories quickly and easily attached thereto.

  • Patent number: 11052270
Abstract: A vertical fall arrest safety device travels along a rail of a vertical track and is configured for quick attachment and detachment anywhere along the rail. The device has a mounting body having side rail engagements configured for slidably engaging behind the edges of a rail of the vertical track in use. The engagements are spaced and staggered so as to receive the rail therebetween when the mounting body is at an angle, and then slidably attach to the rail when the mounting body is twisted into alignment with the rail. The device also has a lever pivotally coupled to the mounting body at a fulcrum. As such, when a downward force is applied to a connection point of a distal end of the lever, an opposite distal end of the lever frictionally engages the rail.
