  • Publication number: 20230283557
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques and mechanisms for managing congestion within a network with a controller. The techniques include identifying a first designated memory location from which a first destination device reads first data, identifying a second designated memory location from which a second destination device reads second data, writing the first data to the first designated memory location, incrementing, based at least in part on writing the first data, a write index; sending a first indication to the first destination device that the first data is ready to be consumed, determining that the first destination device retrieved the first data from the first designated memory location, and decrementing the write index.

  • Publication number: 20230283530
Abstract: Methods are provided for modifying assurance monitoring of a service based on operational states. The methods involve establishing, based on service configuration information, an assurance monitoring for a service provided by a plurality of network nodes that establish network connectivity for the service. The service includes a plurality of sub-services. The methods further involve obtaining, from the plurality of network nodes, telemetry data related to the service, determining one or more operational states of the plurality of network nodes based on the telemetry data, and modifying the assurance monitoring for the service based on the one or more operational states of the plurality of network nodes.

  • Patent number: 10761896
Abstract: In one embodiment, a network functions virtualization infrastructure can be managed in a decentralized fashion. A front end can receive a request to provision a virtualized network function. The front end can create service descriptors for the request according to the virtualized network function, the service descriptors comprising a hierarchy of information elements organized based on distributed back-end agents operable to provision and manage the virtualized network function. The front end can store the service descriptors in a distributed data store.

  • Patent number: 10476839
Abstract: Systems and methods for triggering service activation include starting a vCPE instance in response to a request for a service, instantiating a service container for the requested service and starting the service in the service container, installing a fast path entry for the service container in a local bridge table, detecting an idle timeout of the service and labeling the local bridge table entry for the corresponding service container as inactive, notifying a cloud services manager that the service container is inactive, and removing the service container.

  • Patent number: 7570662
Abstract: A method for communicating data is provided that includes receiving a plurality of bits associated with a communications flow. The method also includes configuring multiplexing for a link, which is selected for transmission of data, by using a maximum fragment parameter associated with the link. The maximum fragment parameter is used as an upper limit whereby if the maximum fragment parameter is smaller than a maximum multiplex parameter, an incoming packet is multiplexed only to the maximum fragment parameter size such that multiplexed packets are not fragmented.

  • Patent number: 7330437
Abstract: A method and system thereof for checking connectivity between endpoints in a network are described. A message is sent from an originating endpoint to a terminating endpoint. The message directs the terminating endpoint to enable detection of continuity check cells used for checking connectivity between the originating endpoint and the terminating endpoint. The terminating endpoint is programmed to suppress generation of continuity check cells. Continuity check cells are sent from the originating endpoint to the terminating endpoint. The originating endpoint is programmed to refrain from acting in response to an absence of continuity check cells from the terminating endpoint.
