  • Patent number: 10525699
Abstract: A tablet printing device includes a first conveying disk that conveys a tablet while sucking and supporting a side surface of the tablet and an inkjet head capable of applying print processing to the front and back surfaces of the tablet conveyed by the conveying disk. The tablet is conveyed while being supported by a second conveying disk at its front and back surfaces and subjected to inspection of the side surface by a side surface inspection device. The tablet is transferred from the second conveying disk to the first conveying disk at a tablet delivery part and then supported by a suction hole formed in an end surface of the first conveying disk with the front and back surfaces fully exposed. The front and back surfaces are subjected to print processing ead, followed by print inspection, and only a non-defective tablet is discharged through a non-defective tablet discharge part.

  • Patent number: 6827016
Abstract: Upon replenishing cleaning members 10 of a plurality of sets of cleaning means 1 of a cleaning apparatus with a cleaning solution, those sets of cleaning means 1 having the cleaning members 10 to be replenished, respectively, are fed with the cleaning solution from a cleaning solution supply source part 21 communicated with the plurality of sets of cleaning means 1 through supplying conduits 23 via supply branching part 22. The cleaning solution as fed out reaches the supply branching part through the supply pipe, and fed out from the supply branching part in a manner branched into the supplying conduits branched to feeding destinations, respectively, to thereby reach the plurality of cleaning members to be replenished. In this way, upon replenishing a plurality of cleaning members of a bearer cleaning apparatus with a cleaning solution, it becomes possible to replenish the plurality of cleaning members with the cleaning solution from a single location in an extremely simple manner.

  • Patent number: 6730011
Abstract: A printed paper web or any required number of such web in superposition are cut into sections at the folding station of a rotary printing press. Each web section has its midpart subsequently pushed into one of the jaw cavities in a jaw cylinder, therein to be engaged and folded by a fixed and a movable jaw. Both jaws are mounted to separate, independently movable parts of the jaw cylinder, to which is coupled a jaw spacing adjustment mechanism for moving the jaws toward and away from each other in order to vary the spacing therebetween in any operating phase of the movable jaw relative to the fixed jaw. In order to adjust the jaw spacing to the running speed of the press, as well as to the number of webs being processed jointly, a jaw spacing adjustment circuit is provided which puts out a signal indicative of a desired jaw spacing suiting both the press speed and the web thickness, for delivery to a stepper motor driving the jaw spacing adjustment mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6481348
Abstract: A groove for receiving opposite end edges of an object, like a printing plate that extends around a printing cylinder, is formed in a printing cylinder adjacent the outer circumferential surface thereof to extend from an axially extending anchor-shaft hole to the outer circumferential surface of the cylinder body. One wall surface of the groove intersects, at an acute angle, a tangent plane passing through a line of intersection between the wall surface and the outer circumferential surface of the printing cylinder, thereby forming an edge together with the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder. When an anchor shaft inserted into the anchor-shaft hole is rotated by means of elastic force, pins studded into a cutaway surface of the anchor-shaft enter anchor holes formed in an end edge portion of the object and secure the end edge portion within the groove. Thus, the object is attached to the printing cylinder.

  • Patent number: 6457411
Abstract: A blanket cylinder used in offset lithography includes a cylinder body, a retainer spindle and a resilient member. The cylinder body has an undercut groove with a first undercut longitudinal edge for engaging a first flange of a carrier sheet and a second undercut longitudinal edge for temporarily engaging a rim of the carrier sheet. The retainer spindle is received in the undercut groove for bi-directional rotation. The retainer spindle includes a pull-in hook that engages the rim of the carrier sheet to pull a second end portion thereof into the undercut groove with rotation of the retainer spindle in a first direction and a push-out ledge abuts against the rim of the carrier sheet in order to push a second end portion thereof out of the undercut groove with rotation of the retainer spindle in a second direction. The resilient member energizes the retainer spindle in the first direction.

Abstract: A groove for receiving opposite end edges of an object such as a printing plate is formed in a printing cylinder in the vicinity of the outer circumferential surface thereof such that the groove extends from an axially extending anchor-shaft hole toward the outer circumferential surface of the cylinder body, thereby opening at the outer circumferential surface. One wall surface of the groove intersects, at an acute angle, with a tangent plane passing through a line of intersection between the wall surface and the outer circumferential surface of the printing cylinder, thereby forming an edge together with the outer circumferential surface of the printing cylinder. The first end edge portion of the object is bent at an acute angle, and the second end edge portion of the object is bent at an obtuse angel which is substantially the supplementary angle of the acute angle.
