    Abstract: In a liquid cartridge, a liquid storing section defines a liquid storing chamber storing liquid, and a channel section defines a channel in fluid communication with the liquid storing chamber. A field forming section forms a field that changes depending on a position of a movable member that is movable in the channel. A power-source potential is inputted to a power-source terminal, and a ground potential is inputted to a ground terminal. A sensor is electrically connected with the power-source terminal and the ground terminal, and generates a potential based on the position of the movable member by being disposed in the field formed by the field forming section. An output terminal outputs the potential generated by the sensor. The sensor generates the potential higher than a ground potential regardless of the position of the movable member.
