  • Patent number: 7712983
Abstract: When a printing device inputs image data from a memory card, the printing device prints an order sheet whereon are arranged a chart of the image data and setting entry fields for filling in a variety of settings for generating a movie based on these image data. The user uses various marking fields provided on the order sheet to specify the display times for the various image data and the effects to be performed on the various image data. When the printing device uses a scanner to read in the filled-out order sheet, movie data is generated based on the content that is set using this order sheet. The user is able to generate movies easily using this type of printing device.

  • Patent number: 7455384
Abstract: A liquid discharging apparatus includes a table that transfers a workpiece in a first scan direction; a carriage that has a liquid discharging head for discharging liquid droplets on the workpiece, and moves along a guide member in a second scan direction; one or more maintainers that are used to perform maintenance such as cleaning of the liquid discharging head; and transfer units that the transfers the maintainers to a standby position in which the maintainers does not interfere with the table to be scanned, and a maintenance position in which the maintenance of the liquid discharging head is performed. When the maintainers are positioned at the standby position, at least a part of the maintainers is positioned in a workpiece maximum scanning range, which is a maximum moving range of the workpiece in the first scan direction during the scanning of the workpiece on the table.

  • Patent number: 7224098
Abstract: The present invention relates to an ultrasonic transducer that has a diaphragm in which an electrode layer is formed thereon. A fixed electrode having a plurality of asperities on the surface facing the diaphragm is provided. An alternating current signal is applied between the electrode layer formed on the diaphragm and the fixed electrode to generate ultrasonic waves. A groove is formed on the upper surface of the projections of the asperities of the fixed electrode to prevent the diaphragm from sticking to the fixed electrode.
