Abstract: An apparatus and/or a method for efficiently providing meta data information regarding content and the content to a user includes connecting to a meta data information providing server that provides meta data of at least one content, receiving fundamental meta data information including connection information, which is provided for retrieval of content, from the meta data information providing server, and, when predetermined content is selected, connecting to one of the content providing servers that provide the selected content using the connection information and obtaining the selected content from the connected content providing server. Thus, it is possible to rapidly access a content providing server that provides user desired content using fundamental meta data information received from a meta data.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus includes a communication unit connected to a first unit network and configured for communication with a plurality of unit networks comprising a plurality of clients, and a controller configured to control the electronic apparatus within the first unit network to operate in one of a proxy mode and a node mode if the plurality of clients form a private network, wherein the controller controls the electronic apparatus to directly communicate with a second unit network in the proxy mode, and controls the electronic apparatus to be connected to another client of the first unit network operating in the proxy mode and communicate with the second unit network through the other client in the node mode, and when the electronic apparatus operates in the node mode, the controller selectively changes the operational mode to the proxy mode depending on a private network service provided to the electronic apparatus.

The apparatus includes a content acquisition information storage unit to store content acquisition information that is identified by a content identifier for content acquired through a bidirectional communication network and necessary to acquire the content by communication with a server that provides the content, a controller to allocate reduction information to the content acquisition information, and to search for the content acquisition information corresponding to the inputted reduction information when reduction information of the content is input, and a communicator to acquire the content from the server using the content acquisition information. Accordingly, a user can acquire Internet content through a communication network by selecting reduction information allocated to the Internet content.
