  • Patent number: 5836901
Abstract: A hand held massaging device includes a support body and a plurality of contact elements extending from the support body. The support body has a top facing the palm of a hand of a user, a bottom facing away from the palm of the hand of the user, a plurality of peripheral sides surrounding the top and the bottom of the support body, and a plurality of corners defined at adjacent ends of the peripheral sides. The plurality of contact elements are attached to the respective corners of the support body and extend downwardly from the bottom of the support body at the plurality of corners thereof. The plurality of contact elements define a plurality of cavities closed at bottom ends and having openings at the top ends of the contact elements adjacent to the top of the support body for receiving some of the fingers and thumb of the hand of the user therein for directing the plurality of contact elements over the surface of a body during a massage.

  • Patent number: 5727278
Abstract: A cleansing device includes a body formed by at least one sheet of inelastic flexible netting-like material folded upon itself to provide a multiplicity of ruffles bunched together so as to define the body, an elongated flat and narrow strap comprised of interwoven strands of flexible material and provided in the form of a loop, and an elongated string inserted at least one time through the loop of the strap and wound about a circumferential portion of the body and drawn inwardly toward the center of the body to form a winding of the string having a substantially smaller circumference than that of the body which secures an inner end of the loop of the strap to the body at an interior of the body such that the inner end of the strap is substantially hidden from an exterior of the body and the strap extends from the body to an outer end spaced from the body to provide a looped handle for a user to insert one hand through and thereby place the body in the palm of the one hand of the user for holding by the finge

  • Patent number: 5437372
Abstract: A device for applying skin treatment substances to the back of a person includes a manually grippable elongated shaft having a head formed thereon, and a plurality of contact pads, each selectively engageable with and disengageable from the head without damaging the head or pads. A first contact pad has a non-porous contact surface for applying relatively viscous substances to the skin of the person, a second contact pad has a porous contact surface for retaining relatively non-viscous substances for applying the relatively non-viscous substances to the skin of the person, and a third contact pad has a sisal contact surface for cleansing the skin of the person. Also, a fourth contact pad has an erose surface for gently scratching the person's back when rubbed against it. A bag is provided for holding the shaft and contact pads.
