Abstract: A stable oil-in-water microemulsion cleaning composition is provided which is essentially effective for the removal of oily and greasy soil from a hard surface and for repelling insects therefrom. A typical example includes about 30 weight % paraffin sulfonate, 3 weight % C.sub.12 -C.sub.15 alkyl ether sulfate EO 3:1, Na salt, 6 weight % C.sub.9 -C.sub.11 fatty alcohol ethoxylate EO 8:1, 1 weight % C.sub.8 -C.sub.10 alkyl sulfate, Na salt, the balance being water with optional dye and fragrance.
