  • Patent number: 7113145
Abstract: An antenna mounting bracket assembly is disclosed which enables an antenna to be secured to either a vertically disposed support member or an angularly disposed support member with the antenna being disposed in a vertical plane in either case.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2005
Date of Patent: September 26, 2006
    Assignee: Valmont Industries, Inc.

  • Patent number: 7069681
Abstract: A sliding sign is movably mounted on an overhead truss which extends over a roadway. The sliding sign is mounted on rails connected to the top and bottom chords of the truss so that the sign may be moved from a position over the roadway to a position adjacent the shoulder of the roadway so that necessary maintenance may be performed on the sign without the need for lane closures of the roadway.

  • Patent number: 5807017
Abstract: A clamping apparatus adaptable to connect together multiple members which may be variously arranged. The clamping apparatus includes a clamping plate having a first pair and a second pair of arcuate slots. Fasteners extend in a first direction through the first pair of arcuate slots and in a second direction through the second pair of arcuate slots, and the fasteners are slidable along the length of the slots. Clamping links are attachable to the fasteners to secure the multiple members to the clamping plate.

  • Patent number: 5787673
Abstract: An antenna support for mounting one or more antenna on a support structure such as a tower. The antenna support includes a framework mountable to the structure, and an antenna mounting support assembly coupled to the framework. The antenna mounting support assembly is configured to mount the antenna in a fashion to be adjustable in a multitude of directions relative to the support structure, such that the mounted antenna may be tuned by an installer by adjustments in these directions.

  • Patent number: 5687537
Abstract: An improved modular antenna pole comprised of a series of aligned cylindrical sections of progressively smaller diameters. Each of the sections includes a top and bottom transverse surface and a circular flange attached to the top and bottom transverse surfaces, respectively, to permit adjacent sections to be bolted together using conventional attachment bolts through a series of complementally spaced mating bores through the flanges. Each of the bolts is held in place by a retention clip which allows the bolts to be pre-installed. A stop tab located inside the sections prevents the bolts from rotating during tightening, and eliminates the use of a conventional jam nut. This improved design also allows the bottom flange of a higher section to rest directly on the top flange of a lower section, resulting in easier assembly and a straighter and more stable pole.

  • Patent number: 5533304
Abstract: An adjustable antenna mount that includes one or more support arms extending outward from a central tower or mast, with each support arm supporting a pivoting cross member on which an antenna assembly is mounted. Each antenna assembly is pivotable about the cross member, and the ends of the cross member and hence the antennas can be accessed from the relative safety of the mast by swiveling the ends of the cross member to a position near the mast. The present invention not only enables the rotation and angle of each antenna to be fine tuned, but also dispenses with the need for a convention work platform at the top of the mast. As such, the present invention presents a much lower wind profile, thereby enhancing signal quality by preventing oscillation of the support in certain high wind conditions.

  • Patent number: 5333436
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved modular antenna pole and to a unique and novel method of joining the pre-fabricated sections which, when assembled, constitute the pole. The pole is comprised of a series of cylindrical sections of decreasing diameters having flanges so designed that the bottom flange of a next succeeding higher section, secured to the outside of the cylindrical section, mates with the top flange of the adjacent lower section, which flange is secured to the inside thereof. Consequently, the pole may be "tapered" from bottom to top in progressively smaller incremental steps rather than by tapering each successive section.
