Abstract: An ice making device and a refrigerator having the ice making device include an ice making tray having ice making grooves opened at upper sides thereof to receive water and a cool air flow channel disposed below the ice making grooves and along which cool air flows. Cool air is uniformly supplied from one side to the other side of the ice making tray along the cool air flow channel, and therefore, the ice making process is completed in a reduced time.

Abstract: A refrigerator includes a main body which forms an external appearance and has a storage chamber to be opened at a front side, and an ice making device which is disposed in the storage chamber to make ice. The ice making device includes an ice making tray which has ice making grooves for making ice, an ejector which rotates and separates the ice made in the ice making grooves, blocking members which are disposed at an upper portion of one side of the ice making grooves to prevent the ice separated from the ice making grooves through the other side of the ice making grooves from returning to the ice making grooves, and a guide member which is disposed above the other side of the ice making tray to guide the ice separated from the other side of the ice making grooves by the ejector toward the blocking members.

The refrigerator includes a body defined with a refrigerating compartment, a freezing compartment, and an ice making compartment, the ice making compartment arranged in the refrigerating compartment while being thermally insulated from the refrigerating compartment, a first evaporator arranged in the refrigerating compartment, a second evaporator arranged in the freezing compartment, a refrigerating duct for circulating cold air from the first evaporator to the refrigerating compartment, a freezing duct for circulating cold air from the second evaporator to the freezing compartment, and an ice making flow passage for communicating the second evaporator and the ice making compartment. The second evaporator, ice making compartment, and ice making flow passage form a closed circuit such that the cold air in the ice making compartment does not enter the refrigerating compartment.

The refrigerator includes a refrigerator body having a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment defined therein, an ice-making compartment mounted at one side of the refrigerating compartment, the ice-making compartment having an opening formed at the front thereof, an ice-making compartment cover to open and close the opening of the ice-making compartment, a rotary lever mounted at the ice-making compartment cover, latching hooks rotatable along with the rotation of the rotary lever, and latching projections formed in a side wall of the ice-making compartment such that the latching hooks are coupled with the latching projections.

Abstract: An ice making apparatus capable of reducing an ice making time be rapid cooling of an ice making tray thereof while guaranteeing the making of transparent ice and a refrigerating having the ice making apparatus. The ice making apparatus includes the ice making tray to freeze water filled therein so as to make ice, and a cold air guiding device to guide cold air to a lower surface of the ice making tray. The cold air guiding device includes a cold air guiding plate installed below the ice making tray to be spaced apart from the lower surface of the ice making tray, and a plurality of protrusions provided at an upper surface of the cold air guiding plate to guide the cold air flowing along the upper surface of the cold air guiding plate in a direction toward the lower surface of the ice making tray.

When the folding shelf disposed in the storage chamber is folded in a vertical direction, there is formed a space capable of storing containers or food products having a great height. When the folding shelf is unfolded in a horizontal direction, containers or food products having a small height can be put on the folding shelf.
