  • Patent number: 8164246
Abstract: A light emission device for simplifying a structure of an electron emission unit and a manufacturing process thereof is provided. A display device using the light emission device as a light source is also provided. The light emission device includes a vacuum panel having a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other. A sealing member is between the first and second substrates. Recess portions each have a depth into a side of the first substrate facing the second substrate. Cathode electrodes are in corresponding recesses. Electron emission regions are on corresponding cathode electrodes. A gate electrode is fixed at one side of the first substrate at a distance from the electron emission regions. A light emission unit is at one side of the second substrate. The gate electrode includes a mesh unit having openings for passing through an electron beam and a supporting member surrounding the mesh unit.

  • Patent number: 7798882
Abstract: Provided is a method of manufacturing an electron emission device. The method includes: forming electron emission sources including a carbon-based material; and emitting electrons from the electron emission sources in a chamber containing a gas. Accordingly, an electron emission display device employing the electron emission device can improve uniformity between pixels and increase device lifespan.

  • Publication number: 20090115307
Abstract: Compositions for forming arcing and charging prevention films, arcing and charging prevention films formed from the compositions, and field emission devices including the arcing and charging prevention films are provided. The composition includes from about 50 to about 90 wt % of an inorganic oxide, from about 5 to about 30 wt % of an organic vehicle, and from about 1 to about 45 wt % of glass frit. The arcing and charging prevention films have excellent adhesive force and are stable even in vibration or vacuum conditions. Therefore, field emission devices including the arcing and charging prevention films have high uniformity and stability.
