  • Publication number: 20170346599
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for supporting cooperative transmission, the apparatus including a controller configured to determine detection bits with respect to a plurality of relay terminals based on channel states between a source terminal and the plurality of relay terminals, the relay terminals configured to detect sub-data corresponding to the detection bits from data when the data is transmitted from the source terminal, an interface configured to receive the sub-data from the relay terminals, respectively, in response to the relay terminals detecting the sub-data, and a restorer configured to restore the data by combining the received sub-data.

  • Patent number: 9780975
Abstract: A Faster-Than-Nyquist (FTN) signal transmission apparatus and method thereof. The signal transmission apparatus includes a pilot interference estimator and compensator configured to estimate interference on pilot symbols by a Faster-Than-Nyquist (FTN) signal generated by FTN modulating a sequence of data symbols, and generate a compensated pilot symbol sequence to cancel the estimated interference; a pilot FTN modulator configured to generate an FTN pilot signal in which inter-pilot symbol interference does not occur, by performing FTN pulse-shaping on the compensated pilot symbol sequence; and a transmitter configured to transmit an FTN data signal and the FTN pilot signal.

  • Publication number: 20170099173
Abstract: A Faster-Than-Nyquist (FTN)-based transmitting apparatus segments an input data bit string into a plurality of partial bit strings, simultaneously channel-encodes each of the plurality of partial bit strings, simultaneously modulates each of the plurality of channel encoded bit strings to generate a plurality of modulation symbol sequences, and then pulse-shapes and transmits the plurality of modulation symbol sequences at a speed faster than a Nyquist rate.

  • Publication number: 20140087683
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of receiving, by a terminal, an additional network service provided through a temporary base station disposed temporarily or locally in order to transfer disaster information, including: receiving information on the additional network through an existing network service provided by a base station; verifying whether the terminal is handed over to the additional network based on the information on the additional network; and receiving the additional network service through the additional network. According to the present invention, even when a communication service disability occurs due to a flood of telephone traffic in an area where a disaster situation or an event occurs, a communication service can be provided through the additional network in terms of the communication service and a broadcasting channel that provides information specific to the disaster situation or event can be temporarily or locally additionally provided.

  • Publication number: 20080159375
Abstract: A method of enhanced detection technique is used with wireless MIMO communication system. Since the performance of V-BLAST system depends on the first sub-stream detection capability, V probable streams are detected according to the first detected sub-stream of DFE detector and most probable stream is selected by likelihood test. The performance of the V-BLAST system can be improved and the decoding complexity and system performance can be controlled by adjusting the number of V.
