  • Patent number: 10790935
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for efficiently transmitting error-tolerant traffic in low power and lossy networks (LLNs). The method for transmitting an error-tolerant traffic includes when a packet is received, modifying a medium access control (MAC) layer of a receiving device to perform received signal strength indication (RSSI) sampling at a symbol rate and estimating a symbol error rate of the packet in the MAC layer based on the sampled RSSI value, and when the estimated symbol error rate is lower than a specific value, transmitting the received packet to a higher layer.

  • Publication number: 20190289453
Abstract: Provided are a device and method for configuring a multi-hop network. The device includes a controller configured to set a second multi-hop network including some terminals of a first multi-hop network, the first multi-hop network being built using a low-power communication interface, and the second multi-hop network being built using a communication interface having a longer transmission distance than in the first multi-hop network.
