  • Publication number: 20090121555
Abstract: A power supply circuit for a vehicle audio system supplies a regulated voltage to a control unit through a series diode and full battery voltage to a power amplifier through a normally-off series power-FET. When the audio system is activated, the control unit turns on the series power-FET to permit operation of the power amplifier. If the control unit detects a sudden voltage drop or an engine crank signal, it prevents audible loudspeaker sounds by immediately turning off the series power-FET and issuing a shut-down command to the power amplifier. If the battery voltage is reversed, the series diode isolates the control unit, and the series power-FET remains off.

  • Publication number: 20050102390
Abstract: A network analyzer comprises a network query client residing in a first network, and a network query server residing in a second network protected by a firewall. The network query server is operable to collect usage data associated with the second network and respond to at least one query regarding usage of the second network from the network query client.

  • Patent number: 6239298
Abstract: There is disclosed a fuel lubricity additive, made by a two-step process wherein the first step is co-reacting an unsaturated base oil, predominantly from vegetable oil sources, and a compound having a diene structure and a carboxylic acid group, wherein the second step is esterifying or amidifying the free carboxylic acid group of anhydride group with a poly-hydroxy-containing compound or poly-amine compound to form the final fuel lubricity additive useful in diesel fuels. The inventive fuel lubricity additive also is useful as a dispersant.

  • Patent number: 5780397
Abstract: There is disclosed a lubricant additive ingredient that imparts extreme pressure anti-wear properties to lubricant additive compositions. Specifically, there is disclosed a derivative of a vegetable oil triglyceride, a wax ester or a telomerized oil reacted with phosphorous pentasulfide to produce a phosphorous-sulfur (PS) extreme pressure additive.

  • Patent number: 4776537
Abstract: This invention relates to a collapsible fuel storage tank for storing fuel on an aircraft. According to this invention, there is provided an aircraft including a fuselage portion, a wing portion connected thereto and an expandable fuel storage tank disposed adjacent the intersection of the wing portion and the fuselage portion. The fuel storage tank has an external surface which includes spanwise spaced inner and outer edge regions extending in a generally chordwise direction. The inner edge region of the tank extending alongside the fuselage portion and the outer edge region being attached to the wing portion to allow movement of the external surface between an empty position in which it lies generally flush with the surrounding surface of the wing portion and a fuel storing position in which it lies at an acute angle to said surrounding surface forming a fillet region between the wing portion and the fuselage portion.

  • Patent number: 4550337
Abstract: A video signal is serially enclosed for transmission in PCM form during synchronizing level intervals and encoded in a run length limited NRZ form during non-synchronizing level intervals, each PCM word being selected from minimum and maximum disallowed states of the NRZ code. In a decoder, a first detector responds only to the presence of the PCM code for synchronizing a second detector with response to both the NRZ and PCM coded portions of the encoded video signal to provide a decoded video output signal whereby the PCM portion of the signal conveys both decoder timing information and information as to a specific level of the video signal.

  • Patent number: 4388640
Abstract: A color encoding filter for use with a discrete photosensor pickup device has vertical stripes. The stripes occur in repeating cycles of color order, with the ratio of the width of a cycle to the width of a photosensor being a non-integer. This results in wider bandwidth in a luminance signal. The resulting pickup device output signal comprises a double sideband suppressed carrier signal having subcarriers conveying the chroma information. Both subcarriers can be demodulated, however demodulating only the upper sideband reduces biasing.

  • Patent number: 4290671
Abstract: A filter for use with a CCD imager has vertical color stripes that have a non-integral relationship to the CCD sensors. A means for controlling the amount of a particular color that falls on a particular photosensor suppresses undesired signals.

  • Patent number: 4288812
Abstract: A color filter for a single image pickup device camera features using color filter elements that have one dimension that is less than the corresponding dimension of photosensors in pickup device. This results in a wider bandwidth signal.

  • Patent number: 4286285
Abstract: A checkerboard filter for a single tube camera has rows that have alternately varying heights. This provides alignment tolerance with respect to a CCD imager to reduce color shift and flicker problems.
