    Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for crowdsourced data assisted personalized network slicing, e.g., in 5G NR systems and beyond. A UE may receive crowdsourced data associated with network slice configurations and determine, based, at least in part, on the crowdsourced data, radio channel metrics that will indicate degradation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for a network slice. The UE may monitor the radio channel metrics and request, based on the monitoring, to change to one of a different radio access network (RAN) configuration (that is better for its currently used network slice) or to a different network slice all together.

The first cellular network may support network slicing and voice over new radio (VONR) and one or more cells of the first cellular network may support evolved packet system (EPS) fallback procedures. The UE may receive or initiate a voice call with another UE and adjust one or more capabilities of the UE such that an EPS fallback procedure is deemphasized. The UE may receive signaling from the first cellular network to establish, based at least in part on the one or more adjusted capabilities of the UE, the voice call as a VoNR call via the first cellular network and the network slice may be maintained during the VoNR call.

A wireless device may establish a wireless link with a cellular base station. The wireless link may be established according to a first radio access technology. The wireless device may determine whether at least one cell that operates according to a second radio access technology is available at the current location of the wireless device based on information stored by the wireless device. If at least one cell that operates according to the second radio access technology is available, the wireless device may perform one or more cell measurements on a cell that operates according to the second radio access technology.

    Abstract: The described embodiments set forth techniques for private cellular wireless network management personalized for a wireless device, including private cellular wireless network characterization at frequently visited locations, targeted cell search, cell radio link monitoring, and radio resource management. The wireless device builds a database of private cellular wireless networks characterized using information gathered when searching for and while attached to cells of a private cellular wireless network. The wireless device uses the database to determine when to enable or disable SIMs or eSIMs of private cellular wireless networks at known locations and network parameters to use to find and connect to the private cellular wireless networks. The wireless device uses learning processes to maintain currency of the database of private cellular wireless networks as network topologies change.

    Abstract: A communications system may include a data collection server (DCS) that receives contextual information from a set of UE devices. The DCS may aggregate the contextual information into a database. A given UE may proactively identify an optimal network configuration to use in communicating with a cellular network. The UE may generate local contextual information. The UE may request a set of entries from the database corresponding to a set of geographic tiles overlapping or neighboring its location. The UE may select the optimal network configuration based on its local contextual information and the requested entries. The UE may transmit a request to a base station to perform communications under the optimal network configuration using user equipment assistance information (UAI) of a radio resource control (RRC) signal. Proactive selection of the network configuration may optimize performance given the current UE operating context without requiring reactive network configuration adjustments.

In some embodiments, data may be harvested from a plurality of UEs regarding connectivity issues and utilized to build an assistance data repository. In some such embodiments, relevant portions of the assistance data repository may then be provided to and utilized by UEs to avoid potential connectivity issues and/or resolve current connectivity issues. In this way, UEs can leverage the connectivity issues experienced by a population of UEs to improve network connectivity and performance. For example, patterns identified in connectivity issues experienced by the population may be utilized to identify efficient and reliable ways to resolve the connectivity issue when it is experienced in the future.

    Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for UE assisted mobility management. A UE may receive, from a network, an initial list of measurement cells, filter the initial list of measurement cells based on criteria to generate an optimized cell list, perform cell measurements based on the optimized cell list, and report, to the network, cell measurements based on the optimized cell list. The criteria may be based, at least in part, on at least one of UE location, UE mobility pattern, and/or UE privacy preservation. The UE may use a geolocation and/or a mobility pattern of the UE and geolocations of cells to filter out cells. The UE may use a privacy preservation algorithm on a previously filtered list of measurement cells to filter out cells to avoid allowing the network to estimate a geolocation of the UE based on the reported measurements.
