An input gear is configured to be connected to an output shaft of a power wrench, which input gear is arranged at a first end of the housing. An output gear has an output interface. The output gear is arranged at a second end of the housing. A first intermediate gear is arranged inside the housing and configured to transmit torque of the input gear to the output gear. The first intermediate gear is rotationally mounted on a first intermediate gear shaft. A torque sensor is configured to measure radial forces acting on the first intermediate gear shaft to thereby obtain a measure of the torque at the output gear.

  • Patent number: 9314896
Abstract: A hand held power tool includes: a motor room housing a motor that drives an output shaft; a bevel gear including interconnected pinion and crown gears, wherein the pinion gear is connected to a pinion shaft drivingly connected to the output shaft and the crown gear is drivingly connected to a tool holding shaft; a gear housing that delimits a fluid tight gear space around the bevel gear; a bearing, around the pinion shaft and close to the pinion gear, which delimits a confined space around the pinion shaft and within the gear space; and a fluid tight axial sealing, around the pinion shaft inside the confined space of the gear space, which seals off the gear space from the motor room. At least one fluid conveying opening is arranged to put the confined space of the gear space in fluid contact with the rest of the gear space.

  • Patent number: 8333253
Abstract: An outlet flow deflector unit for a pneumatic power tool having a housing with an outlet opening, comprises a cup-shaped rotatable deflector element communicating with the outlet opening and having at least one axially directed opening and one radially directed opening located within a certain angular interval of the deflector element circumference, and a stationary cup-shaped sector element located inside the deflector element and having radial opening locating in a certain angular sector substantially larger than the angular interval of the deflector element opening, and an axially directed outlet port, wherein the deflector element is rotatable to obtain alignment either between the radial openings for a radially directed outlet flow, or between the axial opening and the outlet port for accomplishing an axially directed outlet flow.

  • Publication number: 20090126960
Abstract: A portable power tool with a rotation motor (11) drivingly connected to a working implement carrying chuck (16) via a drive shaft (13), wherein a rotation locking mechanism (19) is arranged to lock the drive shaft (13) for enabling tightening or loosening the chuck (16) at attachment or removal of a working implement, wherein axial key surfaces (31) on the drive shaft (13) are arranged to be selectively engaged by mating key surfaces (32) on an axially movable but substantially non-rotative coupling unit (33,34) as the latter is shifted from an inactive rest position to an active position.

  • Publication number: 20090101380
Abstract: A portable power tool with a rotation motor (11) drivingly connected to a working implement carrying chuck (16) via a drive shaft (13), wherein a rotation locking mechanism (19) is arranged to lock the drive shaft (13) in alternative directions via two freewheel couplings (21, 22), one “forward” rotation locking coupling (21) and one “reverse” rotation locking coupling (22). Both couplings (21, 22) are supported in an axially displaceable coupling sleeve (23) which is connected to an external maneuver ring element (24) on the outside of the housing (10) for shifting of the “forward” and “reverse” locking couplings (21, 22) between active and inactive positions, thereby accomplishing locking of the drive shaft (13) in either the “forward” direction or the “reverse” direction for loosening or tightening the chuck (16).
