  • Patent number: 8609904
Abstract: The present invention relates to the manufacture of bioresourced acrolein and bioresourced acrylic acid from glycerol as starting material and more particularly comes within the scope of a process for the manufacture of acrolein and acrylic acid according to which the reaction for the dehydration of glycerol to give acrolein is carried out and a stage of oxidizing a water-rich phase separated from the reaction mixture coming from this dehydration reaction is carried out, before it is recycled to the glycerol dehydration stage. This oxidation treatment prevents organic impurities from accumulating during the process, while minimizing the consumption of water and the discharge of polluted aqueous streams.

  • Publication number: 20120277464
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a flow containing at least one alkene derivative, including the following steps: a step a) of reacting a flow containing one or more alkenes and one or more alkanes—the ratio of said alkanes to said alkenes being at least 1 by volume—with a flow containing mainly oxygen, in order to obtain at least one converted flow containing at least said alkene derivative; a step b) of separating the converted flow produced in step a) into at least said flow containing at least said alkene derivative and a residual flow containing mainly one or more hydrocarbons and one or more inert compounds; and a step c) of separating all or a portion of said residual flow by means of permeation into at least one first flow containing mainly one or more inert compounds and a second flow containing mainly one or more hydrocarbons.

  • Publication number: 20120210870
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for purifying a specific gas stream containing one or more components to be recovered, one or more impurities to be eliminated and one or more poisons, for a unit for separation by means of permeation, including the following steps: a) in a unit for separation by means of absorption, separate from said unit for separation by means of permeation, the specific gas stream is placed in contact with one or more liquid solvents suitable and intended for selectively absorbing said poisons in order to obtain at least one first gas stream depleted of said poisons and a second liquid stream; and b) said first gas stream produced in step a) is separated in said unit for separation by means of permeation, at a specific absolute pressure P, into at least one third gas stream depleted of impurities and a fourth stream; the separation performed in step a) being carried out at an absolute pressure of between 50% and 200% of said specific absolute pressure P.
