Abstract: A daisy chain device including a first active mode of operation and a second low power mode of operation. In the first active mode of operation the daisy chain device supplies or receives multimedia data containing at least two types of data. In the second low power mode of operation the daisy chain device relays only predefined data types and consumes less power. Wherein the daisy chain connection includes wires and the transmissions in the different modes of operation are over the same wires.
