Instances of an inner group with misaligned data values are identified. The inner group instances are synchronized based on the data container domain scope, in response to a synchronization instruction in a report definition. During synchronization, data values are injected, and a synchronization group may be dynamically created. Aggregate functions are calculated over a synchronized group without regard to injected data values. A report layout is generated with synchronization visually indicated.
