  • Patent number: 7431172
Abstract: A collapsible box that provides access through both its top and front side. When set up, said box comprises a (i) horizontal upper section and (ii) horizontal lower section, said sections attached to each other via a pair of opposed vertical sidewalls. When said upper section is gripped by hand and lifted upwardly, said upper section will separate from said lower section and the box will open. Each of said sidewalls comprises a set of upper and lower panels, said panels attached to each other via a hinge that extends horizontally across the approximate center of said sidewall. The top of each sidewall is attached to one end of said upper section via a horizontal hinge; the bottom of each sidewall is attached to one end of said lower section via a horizontal hinge. Said lower section comprises the floor of said box. Said upper section comprises the top lid and two panels that rest horizontally underneath said top lid.

  • Publication number: 20080131627
Abstract: A set of two compatible half-boards that can be pressed together to form a whole board. Each half-board comprises elements of a center medium that inter-fit with the other half-board to form a pattern of shapes. After two half-boards have been inter-fitted, the fully formed board comprises a crosswise center medium sandwiched between a pair of opposed outer sheets. The center medium runs crosswise to the outer sheets. In the preferred embodiment, the crosswise center medium forms a repeating pattern of closed, hollow honeycomb (hexagonal) shapes. In alternative embodiments, the crosswise center medium comprises other shapes.

  • Publication number: 20030156501
Abstract: A trackable storage unit system comprising a plurality of stackable storage units, each storage unit having a computer chip containing data concerning the storage unit, a carrier for carrying a plurality of stacked storage units, the carrier having a first transceiver, electrical connections between the carrier and at least a first storage unit in the stack of storage units carried by the carrier and between adjacent storage units in the stack of storage units carried by the carrier, the electrical connections enabling the first transceiver on the carrier to transmit and receive data to and from the computer chips of the storage units in the stack of storage units; and a second remote transceiver for receiving and transmitting data to and from the first transceiver. The second remote transceiver transmits and receives data to and from the computer chips of the plurality of storage units via the first transceiver and the electrical connections to track the plurality of storage units.

  • Patent number: 6550794
Abstract: The present invention comprises sets of teeth that are spaced apart from each other in a sawtooth configuration and project horizontally outward from the front and rear ends of a hand propelled, wheeled cart. The front teeth of one cart are capable of intermeshing with the opposed rear teeth of another cart. The intermeshing teeth restrict the carts from independent lateral motion, so that when two or more carts are pushed from the rear, all carts stay in alignment with each other. This allows two or more carts to be pushed as one unit, either in a straight line or around turns.
