  • Patent number: 11716659
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a child node in a wireless multi-hop network may receive a cost parameter from a neighbor node in the wireless multi-hop network, wherein the cost parameter indicates a cost, due to an operating mode of the neighbor node, of selecting the neighbor node as a target node for a handover procedure, a cell selection procedure, or a cell reselection procedure. The child node may perform the handover procedure, the cell selection procedure, or the cell reselection procedure based at least in part on the cost parameter. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Patent number: 11711733
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. a first donor node may serve a relay node, which in turn may serve a child node. The first donor node may determine to transfer (e.g., via a handover procedure) the relay node to a second donor node. The first donor node may transmit a first context transfer request for the relay node to the second donor node, and may transmit a second context transfer request for the child node of the relay node to the second donor node. The first donor node may indicate a correlation between the two context transfers. The second donor node may identify the correlated context transfers, and may successfully perform a migration procedure for the relay node and any descendent devices or nodes based on the correlated context transfers.

  • Patent number: 11696223
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may determine to operate in accordance with an energy saving mode in which the base station only transmits remaining minimum system information (RMSI) on-demand or reduces transmission of RMSI with respect to when the base station is operating outside of the energy saving mode. A user equipment (UE) may detect the base station that is operating in an energy saving mode. The UE may transmit a request for the base station to transmit the RMSI to the UE, where the UE may transmit the request to the energy saving base station or to a serving base station of the UE. The UE may receive, from the base station operating in the energy saving mode and responsive to the request, a message including the remaining minimum system information.

  • Patent number: 11672031
Abstract: A first control node may communicate with a user equipment (UE) using an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network, and a second control node may manage a configuration of the IAB network. The second control node may not have the information needed to configure the IAB network, such as quality of service (QoS) information associated with a data radio bearer (DRB) used for communications between the first control node and the UE, and thus may not be able to configure a user plane interface tunnel and/or a radio link control (RLC) channel to assist with satisfying the QoS level. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein enable the second control node to receive QoS information associated with setting up a user plane interface tunnel between the first control node and an IAB node that serves a UE for which the user plane interface tunnel is being set up.

  • Patent number: 11659413
Abstract: Aspects of disclosure relate to a network node for changing a physical cell identifier (PCI). The network node transmits a first signal based on a first PCI during a first synchronization signal block (SSB) occasion, transmits a second signal based on the first PCI during a second SSB occasion, and transitions from the first PCI to a second PCI. During a transition period, the network node transmits the first signal based on the second PCI during the first SSB occasion, and continues to transmit the second signal based on the first PCI during the second SSB occasion. After an end of the transition period, the network node continues to transmit the first signal based on the second PCI during the first SSB occasion, and ceases transmission of the second signal based on the first PCI during the second SSB occasion. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
