  • Patent number: 6096431
Abstract: A biaxially oriented sheet of a biodegradable thermoplastic resin composition containing a lactic acid polymer is used as a structural materials for a supporting substrate of a biodegradable card. The lactic acid polymer has a number average molecular weight of from 10,000 to 1,000,000. The thermoplastic resin composition may preferably be mixed with a modifying biodegradable resin. In another embodiment, the biaxially oriented sheet of the biodegradable thermoplastic resin composition may preferably be covered with the modifying biodegradable resin. The biodegradable lactic acid polymer or the modifying biodegradable resin is also used as a polymeric binder of an information recording layer provided on the surface of the supporting substrate.

  • Patent number: 5700550
Abstract: A hologram forming layer, transparent evaporated layer, colored layer, adhesion anchor layer, and adhesive layer are sequentially laminated on the under surface of a base member. The laminated body is used as a seal by the presence of the adhesive layer. It is preferable for the base member to have adequate rigidity (flexibility, tensile strength) and surface flatness. The hologram forming layer has a relief type hologram image. The transparent evaporated layer is a multi-layered ceramic layer constructed by alternately laminating high-refractive index layers and low-refractive index layers and the thickness thereof is preferably set to 1 .mu.m or less. In the transparent evaporated layer, the color of visible light in predetermined wavelength range is changed according to the viewing angle when it is transmitted therethrough or reflected therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5486933
Abstract: A monochromatic-light reproduction type hologram having a hologram recorded area provided with interference fringes that form a hologram image, the hologram image being reproducible by irradiating the hologram recorded area with monochromatic light at a given angle. A plurality of hologram images different from each other in the directionality of interference fringes are multiple-recorded in the hologram recorded area. Alternatively, the hologram recorded area is divided into a plurality of regions so that a plurality of hologram images different from each other in the directionality of interference fringes are separately recorded in the divided regions. The recorded area is successively or simultaneously irradiated with monochromatic light rays at given angles corresponding to the directionality of interference fringes of the respective hologram images, to reproduce the hologram images as a plurality of information patterns or a single information pattern.

  • Patent number: 4448493
Abstract: Disclosed is an electrochromic display device having an electrochromic layer and a solid proton conductive layer between a transparent electrode and a counter electrode. The main component of the solid proton conductive layer is a mixture of at least one of titanic acid, stannic acid, antimonic acid, zirconic acid, niobic acid, tantalic acid and silicic acid. The response time is shortened, the service life is prolonged, and printing may be adopted for formation of cells.
