  • Publication number: 20190172077
Abstract: An example apparatus includes at least one processor and first memory comprising computer readable instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to log an impression in second memory at an audience measurement entity based on a communication received from a computing device. The example computer readable instructions, when executed, cause the at least one processor to determine that a primary user of the computing device is not the user operating the computing device when a first probability score for the primary user does not satisfy a threshold, and in response to determining that the primary user is not the user operating the computing device, identify one of a plurality of secondary users as the user operating the computing device. The example computer readable instructions, when executed, cause the at least one processor to store demographic information of the user operating the computing device.

  • Patent number: 10311464
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to determine impression corresponding to market segments are disclosed. An example method includes determining a number of impressions that occurred on mobile devices and that are attributable to a first demographic group, where the number of impressions are based on attributions of the impressions to the first demographic group. The example method also includes determining whether a size of a first audience that corresponds to the first demographic group satisfies a threshold, where the first audience includes panelists in an audience measurement panel. The example method further includes determining whether a size of a second audience satisfies the threshold when the size of the first audience does not satisfy the threshold, where the second audience includes panelists in the audience measurement panel that correspond to a second demographic group and the first audience is a subset of the second audience.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to compensate impression data for misattribution and non-coverage by a database proprietor are disclosed. An example method includes obtaining a count of media impressions occurring on a first type of computing device, a first portion of the media impressions corresponding to persons for whom demographic information is recognizable by a database proprietor and a second portion of the media impressions corresponding to persons for whom demographic information is unavailable to the database proprietor; and determining the demographic information for the second portion of the media impressions based on a first probability that media corresponding to the media impressions is accessed on the first type of computing device and based on a second probability that media is accessed on a second type of device.

  • Publication number: 20190089832
Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from the appropriate mechanisms for call handling. For example, certain internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) based emergency services networks may benefit from appropriate initiation of conference calls and of handling of transfers of such calls. A method can include establishing, at an egress node of a network, a media path between an ingress node of the network and the egress node. The method can also include determining that a conference call corresponding to the media path is being invoked. The method can further include contacting, by the egress node, a conference node to establish the conference call.

  • Patent number: 10230866
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for reducing a perceived latency associated with uploading and annotating video data. For example, video data may be divided into video sections that are uploaded individually so that the video sections may be annotated as they are received. This reduces a latency associated with the annotation process, as a portion of the video data is annotated before an entirety of the video data is uploaded. In addition, the annotation data may be used to generate a master clip table and extract individual video clips from the video data.

In some examples, the methods and apparatus identify a first set of data from a first data source, the first set of data different from a second set of data from a second data source. In some examples, the methods and apparatus generate a third set of data based on the second set of data from the second data source. In some examples, the methods and apparatus generate a model based on a difference between the first set of data and the third set of data. In some examples, the methods and apparatus apply the model to the first set of data. In some examples, the methods and apparatus assign viewership to an impression associated with the first set of data by imputing viewership associated with the second set of data to the first set of data.

  • Patent number: 9965865
Abstract: Devices and techniques are generally described for segmentation of image data using depth data. In various examples, color image data may be received from a digital camera. In some examples, depth image data may be received from a depth sensor. In various examples, the depth image data may be separated into a plurality of clusters of depth image data, wherein each cluster is associated with a respective range of depth values. In some further examples, a determination may be made that a first cluster of image data corresponds to an object of interest, such as a human subject, in the image data. In various examples, pixels of the first cluster may be encoded with foreground indicator data. In some further examples, segmented image data may be generated. The segmented image data may comprise pixels encoded with the foreground indicator data.

  • Patent number: 9910736
Abstract: According to embodiments described herein, a backup server maintains backup data for a set of data, which includes data for a first block and a second block. Backup data for the first and second block include backup data for a plurality of versions of the first and second block. A distinct watermark is stored for each version of the first block and each version of the second block. In response to a request to perform a restoration operation on the set of data, a particular version of the first block and a particular version of the second block are selected to use in the restoration operation by comparing a restoration target with the watermarks of the version of the first block and second block. The selected version of the first block has a different watermark than the selected version of the second block.
