  • Publication number: 20140100871
Abstract: A system is provided to enable interactive in-context marketing during an encounter in healthcare at a touch-point or a plurality of patient touch-points. The system consists of a network of multiple channels for touch-points including one or more kiosks or one or more mobile devices or one or more computing devices or one or more display devices. The system works by messaging the patient in-context of an electronic interaction with the patient on a channel before, during or after an encounter at a healthcare provider's facility. The system connects with backend healthcare information system(s) to obtain the context of care so that the marketing messages delivered can be targeted to the specific context of the health concerns of the patient, the specific diagnosis found and the procedures performed by the healthcare provider, the specific marketing restrictions/permissions of respective government, plan, payer, pharmaceutical, patient, provider, etc., in context.

  • Publication number: 20130151271
Abstract: A system and a method are provided for care coordination in healthcare. The system consists of a network of one or more kiosks or one or more mobile devices and one or more backend healthcare information systems. The method works by retrieving the patient information from backend systems, by identifying and prioritizing any gaps in care, and messaging to the patient and/or the provider with specific care coordination steps. The system verifies whether a gap in care has been addressed by asking the patient during an automatic call made to the patient to make an appointment to address a gap in care, a check in, a check out and/or listening to the claims data for the patient at the payer. Our invention is useful for care coordination for addressing patients' gaps in care, especially when multiple parties and/or diseases exist.

  • Patent number: 7487213
Abstract: A protocol for protected email transmission using micropayments and a segregated inbox in which protected emails are displayed. The protocol also involves authentication of the sender to defeat phishers and an opt out protocol which can be used to block protected emails from sources from which the user no longer wishes to receive emails even if the source has made a micropayment. Branded email is also taught wherein a sender of protected emails can pay extra to have a miniature version of its brand logo or trademark displayed with its email in the segregated inbox. A white list is maintained on the protected email server (along with the opt out black list) so that recipients can designate specific senders who may send email to that recipient without paying a micropayment and still have the protected email displayed in the segregated inbox.
