  • Patent number: 6241234
Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus has a first stacker for stacking discharged sheets; a feeder for feeding a set of sheets from the first stacker; and second stacker for stacking the set of sheets fed by the feeder. A shifting device shifts the sheets stacked on the first stacker and; a controller groups the sheets in a set into a plurality of groups of sheets, and stacks, shifts and feeds the sheets, for each group, to the first stacker, and stacks the set of sheets on the second stacker.

  • Patent number: 5992838
Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus includes a plurality of sheet discharging means for discharging sheets; a plurality of intermediate trays for temporarily stacking the sheets discharged by the discharging means; processing means for processing the sheets; a tray for receiving and accommodating the sheet from the intermediate trays; control means for facing one of the intermediate trays to one of the discharging means to stack the sheets on the intermediate tray and moving the intermediate tray to permit the sheets to be processed by the processing means; then facing, during processing for the sheets on the one of the intermediate trays, another one of the intermediate trays to another one of the discharging means to stack the sheets on the another intermediate tray: then returning, after discharging the sheets from the one of the intermediate trays after processing the sheets thereon, the one of the intermediate trays to the one of the discharging means; then moving the intermediate try to permit the sheets to be

  • Patent number: 5932722
Abstract: An electrophotographic photosensitive member having a high sensitivity to long-wavelength light as emitted by a semiconductor laser and causing little change in potential change during repetitive use is formed by using as a charge-generating material a hydroxygallium phthalocyanine having a crystal form characterized by a strongest peak at a Bragg angle (2.theta..+-.0.2 deg.) of 28.1 deg. in a CuK.sub..alpha. characteristic X-ray diffraction pattern. The hydroxygallium phthalocyanine may preferably be produced through a process including treating a halogenated gallium phthalocyanine for conversion into a hydrous hydroxygallium phthalocyanine, freeze-drying the hydrous hydroxygallium phthalocyanine into a low-crystallinity hydroxygallium phthalocyanine, and milling the low-crystallinity hydroxygallium phthalocyanine.

  • Patent number: 5911414
Abstract: A sheet transport apparatus has a puncher for punching a hole in a sheet as the sheet is being transported through a transport path, and a transport device for clamping and transporting the sheet, the transport device being disposed downstream of the puncher and having a first rotation member and a second rotation member for pressing the sheet into contact with the first rotation member, the transport device being disposed at a position where a hole punched by the puncher passes through.

  • Patent number: 5897250
Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus includes a first sheet feeder for feeding a first sheet; a second sheet feeder for feeding a second sheet for discrimination; a sheet sticking device for sticking the second sheet fed from said second sheet feeder on the first sheet in the first sheet feeder such that a part of the second sheet is partly extended out of the first sheet.
