  • Patent number: 5499925
Abstract: A connector device includes a housing having a slide plate with a handle. By the manual operation of the handle, the slide plate is moved by a disengageable link mechanism along the length of the housing. When a data storage medium is fully inserted in the connector device and the handle is in a first position, the link mechanism is disengaged. The link mechanism becomes engaged, and thereby operable to move the slide plate, only after the handle is moved from the first position to an extended position. In this manner, inadvertent ejection of the data storage medium is prevented.

  • Patent number: 5395262
Abstract: An electrical connector is provided which can readily fix a metal latch member to a housing. A groove is provided in the housing of the connector to allow a daughter board to be inserted therein. A pair of resin latch members are provided one at each end of the groove to hold the daughter board in a predetermined latched position. A pair of metal latch members are provided one at each end of the housing to hold the daughter board in a sandwiched relation with the resin latch members interposed. The metal latch members are fixed to the housing by fitting their fixing section over the housing with openings of the fixing section fitted over the projections provided on the opposite side surface of the housing.

  • Patent number: 5256078
Abstract: A socket has a housing equipped with an elastic metal sheet between both ends thereof. The metal sheet is provided integral with a mount leg portion for mounting the housing on a mother board, a hook for engaging a corresponding engaging hole in a daughter board, and a leaf spring for elastically pushing up the daughter board in a manner to engage the hook. The daughter board inserted in a recess of the housing is pushed up by the leaf spring whereby the engagement of the daughter board and hook is ensured.

  • Patent number: 5226833
Abstract: An electrical connector including a slot in a surface of a housing of the connector; a pair of latch members molded integrally with the housing and provided one at each end of the slot so as to hold a daughter board in a sandwiched relation; and a reinforcing resilient plate located behind the respective latch member. When the daughter board is detachably mounted on the connector, any excessive flexing of the latch member is restricted by the reinforcing plate.
