Abstract: Provided is a new algorithm for detecting transmitter identification information (TII) in a transceiver system such as terrestrial-digital multimedia broadcasting (TDMB) conforming to the Eureka 147 standard. A TII decoder includes: a magnitude obtainer for monitoring a magnitude of an input signal; a phase obtainer for monitoring a phase of the input signal; a TII pulse determiner for determining whether a TII pulse is input or not, from the magnitude signal and phase signal; and a consistency checker for checking whether delay times of a plurality of TII pulses are identical and whether a TII pattern consisting of the TII pulses is repeated.
