  • Publication number: 20220322720
Abstract: Plant-based nutritional compositions comprise fava bean protein isolate and pea protein. The fava bean protein isolate comprises greater than about 10 wt % of the total protein in the composition, and the pea protein comprises less than about 50 wt % of the total protein in the composition. In certain embodiments, the nutritional compositions are high in protein, high in fiber, and low in calories. The compositions may be dairy-free and/or soy-free.

  • Publication number: 20220312814
Abstract: A nutritional ingredient for use in nutritional powders is provided. The nutritional ingredient is an agglomerated calcium source, which includes particles of a calcium source adhered together with a lecithin binder. The nutritional ingredient functions as both a flow agent and an antifoam agent when incorporated into nutritional powders, such as powdered infant formulas.

  • Publication number: 20200345056
Abstract: A tube feeding composition includes from about 20 wt % to about 40 wt % of fruit and vegetable, at least 3 wt % of whole grain, a source of protein, a source of carbohydrate, and a fat. The tube feeding composition has a desirable viscosity profile for tube feeding applications and may be manufactured using at least two homogenization steps.

  • Publication number: 20200205456
Abstract: Nutritional tablets and methods of making nutritional tablets are provided. The nutritional tablets include a compressed nutritional powder that includes protein, carbohydrate, fat, and 0.15% to 6% by weight of a flow agent based on the weight of the nutritional tablet. The nutritional tablet has a hardness of no more than 14 N and a surface polarity of greater than 30.5%.

  • Patent number: 8263689
Abstract: The invention relates to water-based adhesives for industrial applications obtained by mixing water-redispersible polymer powder and water-soluble polymer powder with water, wherein the weight ratio of the water-redispersible polymer powder to the water-soluble polymer powder is from about 0.001:1 to 100:1 and the water-based adhesive has a set speed of less than 300 sec, when measured with a 36 ?m thick layer at 23° C. and 50% relative humidity and 385 ?m thick carton boards with a weight of 275+/?3 g/m2 and Cobb values on one side of 43 g/min/m2 and 27 g/min/m2 on the other side, has a solids content of about 7.5 to 70 wt.-% and a Brookfield viscosity at 23° C. at 20 rpm, measured according to the ASTM D1084 standard, of about 500 to 10,000 mPas. The water-based industrial adhesive has the capability to bond a low surface tension substrate to a cellulosic substrate, in particular with a weight-ratio of water-redispersible polymer powder to water-soluble polymer powder from about 0.
