Abstract: A paper pick-up unit of an image forming apparatus includes an elliptical pick-up rubber having a first arcuate part and a second arcuate part. The first and second arcuate parts are symmetrical to each other and contact a paper. A pick-up housing supports the pick-up rubber, which are attached around the circumference thereof. A first shaft opening and a second shaft opening are formed opposite to each other in the pick-up housing and are eccentrically disposed with respect to a center of the pick-up housing. A pick-up shaft is engaged with one of the first shaft opening and the second shaft opening of the pick-up housing, and is capable of rotating. The pick-up shaft is engaged with the first shaft opening of the pick-up housing for the first arcuate part of the pick-up rubber to pick up a paper. The pick-up shaft is engaged with the second shaft opening of the pick-up housing for the second arcuate part of the pick-up rubber to pick up a paper.

Abstract: A developer for an image forming apparatus includes a developing casing having a plurality of toner chambers to contain toner, an agitator having a resilient wing and rotatably disposed in the toner chamber for agitating and transferring toner, a toner supplying roller rotatably disposed adjacent to one of the toner chambers of the developing casing, a developing roller for transferring and attaching the toner supplied from the toner supplying roller to a photoconductive medium, and a partition disposed in the developing casing to separate the two toner chamber. The partition has a plurality of slits at a center potion to transfer toner from one toner chamber to another toner chamber therethrough, while the agitator rotates. Also, the partition has a rib sloped upward at a predetermined angle from a lower portion of the slit. While the agitator rotates, the resilient wing of the agitator resiliently contacts with the rib so as to splash the toner upward.

Abstract: A hopper-integrated type developing unit for image forming apparatus is disclosed. The unit comprises a case, a supply roller, a developing roller, a photosensitive drum, a supply roller retaining shaft, a developing roller retaining shaft, two photosensitive drum retaining shafts, driving gears and removal restricting means. The case consists of a body and side plates. The supply roller, the developing roller and the photosensitive roller are accommodated in the case. The supply roller retaining shaft pierces the supply roller and is rotatably held by the side plates of the case at its both ends. The developing roller retaining shaft pierces the developing roller and is rotatably held by the side plates of the case at its both ends. Two photosensitive drum retaining shafts are respectively fixed to side plates at its inner ends and respectively inserted into an interior of the photosensitive drum at its outer ends. The driving gears are respectively fitted around the retaining shafts.

Abstract: A device for preventing a fixing unit from overheating in an electrophotographic system includes a heating lamp positioned within an interior portion of the heat roller for generating heat to increase a temperature exhibited by the heat roller. A frame supports a bearing of the heat roller. A thermal sensor is formed on one side of the frame and contacts a surface of the heat roller to control the temperature exhibited by the heat roller. A thermal fuse interrupts electrical power to the heating lamp upon detecting that the temperature exhibited by the heat roller exceeds a predetermined level. A pressure roller applies a force upon the heat roller so that the heat roller is displaced in a direction towards the thermal fuse as a recording sheet passes between the heat roller and the pressure roller.

Abstract: A heat roller device includes a frame, a hollow cylindrical fixing roller accommodating therein a heat source for fixing a toner image on a recording medium; a driving gear for driving the fixing roller; a first flange shaped bearing having a base attached to the frame and a projection extending from the base in order to accommodate the driving gear, for rotatably supporting one end of the fixing roller; and a second flange shaped bearing having a base attached to the frame, a projection extending from said base and a pair of hooks integrally extending from the projection for preventing movement of the fixing roller in its longitudinal axis, when the fixing roller is driven by the driving gear.
