The electronic device connection apparatus may include a connector connected to an electronic device, an input device that generates, in response to a user input, a mode change signal instructing a change of an operation mode for determining a charging and/or a data transmission operation of the electronic device. The apparatus may include a controller that charges the electronic device connected to the connector and/or performs a data communication with the electronic device in response to a preset operation mode, and changes the operation mode in response to the mode change signal.

Abstract: A method for efficiently setting an external device to execute an interworking function in an in-vehicle multimedia system and a method for performing the same are provided. The method includes connecting at least one external device to the in-vehicle multimedia system and then detecting a number of connected external devices. Upon detecting that the number of connected external devices is one, the one external device is set as a default device to execute the interworking function. Upon detecting judging that the number of connected external devices is multiple, a pop-up window is displayed to select one of the plurality of external devices on a display, and the external device selected through the pop-up window is set as the default device.

Abstract: A method for automatically tuning a digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) channel in an audio video navigation (AVN) system having a dual-tuner is provided. The method includes performing a best station memory (BSM) function by a first tuner, and receiving traffic information by a second tuner. A controller determines whether DMB viewing is requested by a user. When the DMB viewing is requested by the user according to the determination result, digital multimedia broadcast is received by the first tuner. Alternately, traffic information is received, and the BSM function is performed by the second tuner. When the DMB viewing is not requested by the user according to the determination result, a current state is maintained.

For this, the present invention includes an user interface in which a user command is inputted and the process result for the user command is indicated; a telematics module in which a mobile communications network connecter is mounted to be able be connected to Internet that the mobile communications network provides; a mobile device equipped with a wireless LAN; and a network gateway which connects the mobile device to the Internet through the telematics module according to the request of the user interface or the mobile device in the state of being connected to the mobile device through the wireless LAN.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the network gateway for the vehicle sharing the contents between all display units of an inside-vehicle. For this, the invention includes an interface connecter which is connected respectively to at least one or more display units that receive a user command and display the process result for the user command; and a controller which shares a contents by transmitting the contents from a specific display unit to another display unit in case it is commanded to perform the contents sharing from the specific display unit through the interface connecter.
