    Abstract: A device for evaluating characteristics of a target ground containing a metal component is proposed. The device includes a penetration probe having a main frame and a pair of side frames respectively installed at opposite side ends of the main frame, wherein each side frame has a lower end thereof extending downward from the main frame; a plurality of electrodes installed to be exposed to outside on the main frame; an electrode measurement part for measuring apparent chargeability of the target ground by applying power for measurement to the plurality of electrodes; and a main processor for calculating a weight ratio of a metal component of the target ground on the basis of the apparent chargeability measured by the electrode measurement part and calculating a volume ratio of the metal component of the target ground on the basis of the calculated weight ratio of the metal component.

    Abstract: A dual tone multi-frequency detector includes a pulse code modulation expanding unit for converting pulse code modulation data into linear data. A correlating unit constructed from a plurality of correlators correlates the linear data with a plurality of predetermined reference signals to generate a plurality of power values of a frequency band corresponding to dual tone multi-frequency signals. A total power detecting unit detects a total power value of the linear data. A low frequency maximum power detecting unit detects a maximum low frequency power value from the power values of a low frequency band generated by the correlating unit. A high frequency maximum power detecting unit detects a maximum high frequency power value from the power values of a high frequency band generated by the correlating unit.

    Abstract: A dial pulse detector in a paging system for rendering a paging service for a subscriber who uses a mechanical telephone includes a delay correlativity calculator for receiving dial pulses generated by predetermined pre-test dialing digits dialed by the subscriber, calculating the correlativity between the delayed dial pulse and undelayed dial pulse to sample a reference signal of the dial pulse. An energy correlativity calculator calculates the energy correlativity between the sampled reference signal and the successively received dial pulse to examine the validity of the reference signal. A dial pulse verifier operates according to recognition of the validity of the reference signal by the energy correlativity calculator and checks input number of times and input time of the dial pulse so as to verify whether the dial pulse corresponds to the pre-test dialing digits.
