A registration request may be received by an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) from a User Equipment (UE). In response to the registration request, a Policy Control Function (PCF) may exchange a policy with the AMF, wherein the policy comprises instructions to perform a continuous service assessment. Next, a registration accept message may be sent to the UE, wherein the registration accept message comprises instructions for the UE to enable the continuous service assessment.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided for handling network packets in a transport domain. In one example, one or more parameters associated with a wireless device are obtained. Based on the one or more parameters, an indicator is identified that indicates how to handle network packets associated with the wireless device in a transport domain between a radio access network and a core network. A network packet associated with the wireless device is obtained, the indicator is inserted in the network packet, and the network packet is provided to the transport domain. The transport domain is configured to handle the network packet in the transport domain based on the indicator.
