  • Patent number: 10019506
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for identifying objects in images. One of the methods includes obtaining data identifying a plurality of object categories; obtaining relationship data for the plurality of object categories; determining a plurality of valid assignments from the relationship data; obtaining, for an image, a respective raw image score for each of the object categories, wherein the raw image score for each of the object categories represents an estimate of a likelihood that the image includes an image of an object that belongs to the object category; and generating a respective final score for each of the object categories from the raw image scores using the valid assignments, wherein the final score for each of the object categories represents the likelihood that the image includes an image of an object that belongs to the object category.

  • Patent number: 8070959
Abstract: Chalcogenide compounds with cation exchange capability and methods of using the compounds are described. Compounds of the general formula A2xMxSn3-xS6 are described wherein x is 0.1-0.95, A is Li+, Na+, K+ or Rb+ and M is Mn2+, Mg2+, Zn2+, Fe2+, Co2+ or Ni2+. Compounds of the general formula H2xMxSn3-xS6 are also described wherein x is 0.1-0.95 and M=Mn2+, Mg2+, Zn2+, Fe2+, Co2+ or Ni2+. The compounds can be layered compounds. The compounds are capable of intercalation of Cs+, Sr2+, Hg2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, and/or Ag+ ions. A process involving contacting the compounds with a solution comprising one or more ions including Cs+, Sr2+, Hg2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, and/or Ag+ is also provided. The one or more ions can be removed from the solution by the compounds. A process comprising contacting compounds of the general formula A2xMxSn3-xS6 with a solution containing UO22+, Th4+ or Pu4+ ions is also described.

  • Patent number: 6997598
Abstract: An impact-type rotary fining, homogenizing and emulsifying device is constituted by a casing body disposed on a base, a feed port and a discharge port disposed in the casing body, and a power shaft disposed inside of the casing body. The power shaft is equipped with rotary impellers in such a manner that the rotary impellers are disposed on the power shaft and include a first rotary impeller rotated in a positive direction and a second rotary impeller rotated in negative direction. A power shaft portion is located in the feed port and is equipped with a feed impeller. A valuable advantage is obtained in that its new and distinct structure and innovative design enable the device to heighten the impact velocity applied to treated materials many fold, without raising the rotating speed of the impellers. Functions of fining, homogenizing and emulsifying are improved, while effectively enhancing the overall performance of the apparatus, within the motor's allowable rotational speed.
