The connector includes a housing having one or more slots configured for receiving an add-in card, and one or more subassemblies held by the housing. Each subassembly includes conductive elements held by a subassembly housing in a row. Each conductive element may include a mating end for contacting an add-in card and a tail end for a cable wire to be attached thereon. The conductive elements include first-type conductors for signals and second-type conductors for ground signals. Each first-type conductor may be shaped between a first segment comprising the mating end and a second segment comprising the tail end to receive a capacitor to couple the first and second segments.
