  • Patent number: 5542858
Abstract: A Christmas light bulb socket and wiring arrangement is provided. The light bulb socket includes an insertion structure inside the outer housing of the light bulb socket and two insertable conductor strips that are securely held in place. Any loosening of the conductor strips, which could result in unsound electrical connections or hazardous situations, is prevented by the securement method. Furthermore, the light bulb socket supports all types of wire routing and placement configurations to accommodate Christmas light bulbs connected in series that are displayed to achieve a scintillating illuminative effect.

  • Patent number: 5482478
Abstract: An improved AC power plug structure is provided. The AC power plug consists of an outer housing, base and conductor structure which utilize differently positioned connection methods. The base and the outer housing are firmly assembled together, while the conductor wires within the base are separately routed so the conductor wires cannot be pulled from their connection with the wire terminals. Further, a pair of special built-in safety fuses are located inside the base.

  • Patent number: 5366386
Abstract: An improved connecting structure of a series-parallel lighting string comprises a base having provided on the connecting end thereof three semicircular grooves, in which the in-between one sits on a lower position than the others, to receive three lead wires arranged in a triangular array so that a conventional structure constituted of a base and a top cap that accommodate only two wires can be adapted for more wires, significantly widening the scope of its applications.

  • Patent number: 5228774
Abstract: A safe light set of the type used for decorative light strings is provided. Each light socket of the set includes a parallel hook having an inner surface with a gripping surface contour formed therein. The hook is formed on the cap of the light socket for engagement with support from which it is hung. The socket includes a short vertical conductor dimensioned to just contact with the threaded metal portion of the bulb when fully engaged within the socket, and to be electrically separated from the metal portion of the bulb when loosening the bulb, at the point at which the metal portion emerges from the socket.

  • Patent number: 5222602
Abstract: An improved packing construction for a series of light bulbs, mainly comprising packing frames capable of accommodating long series of light bulbs on the side ends of which frames are provided crossly symmetrical male and female dovetail slots and some equidistantly separated trapezoidal tabs among which are seated the bases of long series of light bulbs. This construction further comprises connecting members which lock the bases of two adjacent light bulbs individually mounting on two mutually stacked packing frames to prevent bulbs from clash and keep the two stacked packing frames firm. When an exhibition is desired, the stacked frames can be converted into a plane frame assembly by means of the engagement of the male and the female dovetail slots of a packing frame with those of the other. It indeed is a practical useful packing construction.
