Patent number: 10535150Abstract: The present disclosure attempts to evaluate how the texture of an object is perceived based on visual features of the topological skeleton of the object. A camera S1 obtains a color image by taking an image of an object, which serves as an evaluation target. Within the image obtained, a visual feature area, which is likely to strike a person's eye when the person claps his/her eyes on the object, and an intensity of a visual stimulus of each pixel of the visual feature area are extracted. Visual skeleton features of each pixel of the image are determined within a contour region which is composed of the visual feature areas extracted. The visual skeleton features determined are shown on a display.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2017Date of Patent: January 14, 2020Assignee: MAZDA MOTOR CORPORATIONInventors: Masayuki Watanabe, Naokazu Goda, Hidehiko Komatsu, Nanae Michida, Atsuhide Kishi, Kazuo Nishikawa, Takahide Nouzawa

Publication number: 20180140220Abstract: Provided herein is a skin resistance measuring device having a simple structure and capable of accurately measuring a skin resistance. An AC voltage generated by a high-frequency power source (21) is applied to a first electrode (11). A detection circuit (30) detects a current of a second electrode (12). An inductive element (25) is provided, for example, in an electric path extending from the high-frequency power source (21) to the first electrode (11). A controller (40) changes and controls a frequency of the high-frequency power source (21), receives a detection signal (S1) from the detection circuit (30), and calculates an impedance of the human body which has touched an electrode section (10). The skin resistance of the human body is calculated based on a value of impedance at a frequency where the impedance is a minimum.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2016Publication date: May 24, 2018Applicants: KYUSHU UNIVERSITY, NATIONAL UNIVERSITY CORPORATION, MAZDA MOTOR CORPORATIONInventors: Reiji HATTORI, Yuhei MORIMOTO, Ryota YONEDA, Masayuki WATANABE, Nanae MICHIDA

Publication number: 20180093695Abstract: A device for detecting an approach distance of a living body is provided. The device detects hover touch. The surfaces of a first electrode and a second electrode are covered by an insulator to form an electrode section. A high-frequency power source is connected to the first electrode via an inductive element for forming a resonance circuit. An ammeter is connected to the second electrode. A correlation between a resonance frequency and a resonance resistance is obtained. It is determined that the living body is in hover touch with the electrode section when the resonance resistance is higher than an initial resistance corresponding to a leakage resistance between the first and second electrodes, and the resonance resistance increases or decreases whereas the resonance frequency decreases or increases, based on the correlation.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2017Publication date: April 5, 2018Applicant: MAZDA MOTOR CORPORATIONInventors: Reiji HATTORI, Yuhei MORIMOTO, Yutarou ONO, Masayuki WATANABE, Nanae MICHIDA, Atsuhide KISHI, Kazuo NISHIKAWA

Patent number: 7559608Abstract: A seat for a vehicle comprises a seat cushion, a seat back, a headrest having a neck-support portion, a headrest pole member to support the headrest, and a rotational support device. The rotational support device supports the headrest in such a manner that the neck-support portion of the headrest is rotated around a rotational axis that extends in substantially a width direction of the seat back and held at a specified angle relative to the seat back, wherein the headrest is its lowest position, the neck-support portion of the headrest is configured to be allowed to be rotated forward from its rearmost stored position by the rotational support device. Accordingly, a neck portion of a passenger can be supported by the neck-support portion of the headrest properly.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2006Date of Patent: July 14, 2009Assignee: Mazda Motor CorporationInventors: Tamio Miyahara, Kouichi Nakaya, Nanae Michida, Hiroshi Okiyama, Akihiro Kobayashi
