  • Publication number: 20070137660
Abstract: A quick mounting ashtray holder that can be rapidly and reversibly mounted in a car. The invented ashtray holder secures an ashtray such that neither the ashtray nor the holder rattles, even when the car is on a rough road. The ashtray holder has a bracket with a platform portion, an angled portion, and a base portion. The platform portion has a top side and a bottom side, where said platform portion provides a mounting surface. The angled portion determines the orientation between the platform portion and the base portion. The base portion base has a front side and back side, where the back side has a fastening means for quick mounting the base portion to a vehicle. There is a frame for receiving and holding an ashtray. The frame has structural supporting and restraining elements, gripping pads, and mounting components for attaching the frame to the platform portion.

  • Publication number: 20050181468
Abstract: Deficiencies in certain physiological pathways are linked with ACE or vasopeptidase inhibitor associated angioedema. Additionally, detection and/or measurement of dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP IV) enzyme activity and aminopeptidase P (APP) enzyme activity is a predictor of this risk. The present invention provides biological markers, diagnostic tests, and pharmaceutical indications that are useful in the diagnosis and treatment of angioedema and in the marketing and safety of certain medications. This ability can be important for the treatment of a subject that is in need of or are taking an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor and/or a vasopeptidase inhibitor (combined ACE and neutral endopeptidase (NEP) inhibitor), which are commonly used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes, and cardiac and renal diseases.

  • Publication number: 20050073182
Abstract: The stool with leg supports which may be used as a footrest, a table, or a chair. The stool has a flat wooden platform, a cushion that is disposed upon the platform and either three or four legs which depend from the platform. Each leg includes is formed by a post and padding which is wrapped around the post. Each leg is also provided with socks, nylon hosiery, pant legs, or other suitable clothing or accessory commonly worn over the legs and feet. A second end of each leg is affixed to a shoe to provide a broader base for the stool, and thereby increase the stool's stability.

  • Patent number: 5252525
Abstract: A high temperature ceramic filter is produced from a composition containing refractory cement, aggregate, pore forming additives, and sintering agents. The pore forming additives are synthetic or organic powders or fibers which sublimate, melt, or otherwise disintegrate to produce In situ pores in the cement during the refractory treatment of a cast filter. The filters produced are permeable to high temperature gases commonly found in a coal furnace and can be used to collect particulate matter present in those gases.

  • Patent number: 5146619
Abstract: An ear radio adapted for support by the ears of a user comprises first and second ear components, each including a casement having inner and outer surfaces and adapted in size and configuration to fit over an ear of the user. Radio circuitry is provided for receiving radio signals and converting the radio signals to sound and is mounted within a first casement. Radio function controls are mounted on the exterior surface of the first casement. A speaker is mounted on the inner surface of the first casement and is operatively connected to the radio circuitry mounted on its inner surface. The speaker is adapted to extend within the ear canal of the ear. A first retention member is provided for retaining the first component at one ear, and is configured to conform to the juncture between the ear and the head of the user. A second radio component includes a similar second casement having inner and outer surfaces and adapted in size and configuration to fit over the user's second ear.

  • Patent number: 5087277
Abstract: A high temperature ceramic filter is produced from a composition containing efractory cement, aggregate, pore forming additives, and sintering agents.
