The sock is further made of an elastic material. The top of the protective sock is doubled back upon itself and is secured by stitching. The inside surface of the sock is provided with a friction material to enhance a friction between the inside surface of the sock and the furniture leg. The furniture leg sock is stretchable to accommodate differently sized furniture legs.
