Patent number: 11804021Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods of processing immobilization molds for application of treatment, A computing system may generate a three-dimensional mold model of immobilization mold within with a subject is to be positioned for application of a treatment. The computing system may subtract a three-dimensional scan of at least a portion of the subject from the three-dimensional mold model to define an opening therein. The computing system may remove, from the three-dimensional mold model, a first portion to define an imprint in the opening from a first axis along which the subject is to enter. The computing system may remove, from a second portion of the three-dimensional mold model remaining with the removal of the first portion, inward protrusions into the imprint of relative to the second axis intersecting the first axis.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2023Date of Patent: October 31, 2023Assignee: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer CenterInventors: Joseph Owen Deasy, Paul R. Publication number: 20180132203Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved positioning technology. For example, communication systems may benefit from taking into account radio signal capabilities of the user equipment when determining the position of the user equipment. A method may include sending a request from a network entity to a user equipment. The method may also include receiving a response to the request from the user equipment. The response may include information about radio signal capabilities of the user equipment. In addition, the method may include determining location assistance data based on the received radio signal capabilities.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2017Publication date: May 10, 2018Inventors: Robert SAXON, Zhilan XIONG, Nancy LEE

Publication number: 20060088862Abstract: A novel approach to the early detection of colorectal cancer (“CRC”), using a molecular diagnostic test to evaluate grossly normal-appearing colonic tissue for the early detection of colorectal cancer is disclosed. Such grossly normal-appearing colonic mucosal cells may be collected from non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures. The use of novel biomarker panels for drug screening also is disclosed. Such biomaker panels may be used wholly or in part as surrogate endpoints for monitoring effectiveness of a prospective drug in the intervention of pathologies, such as cancers, for example CRC, lung, prostate, and breast, and neurodegenerative diseases, for example Alzheimer's and ALS.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2005Publication date: April 27, 2006Inventor: Nancy Lee

Publication number: 20050265529Abstract: A system is disclosed to establish a telephone connection between parties. In one embodiment, a system includes receives a request to validate an outbound call from a first party to a telephone number associated with a second party. The system determines whether the outbound call is permitted to the telephone number and whether a pre-established account exists to debit against call. In response to the pre-established account existing, the system switches the collect call to a prepaid platform. Alternatively, in response to the pre-established account not existing or the pre-established account having insufficient credit to debit against the call, the system places an inquiry call to the second party. In response to the inquiry call, the system creates for the second party an account to debit against the call. A method for the same is also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2005Publication date: December 1, 2005Inventors: John Hogg, John Poss, Lisa Ferner, Nancy Lee

Publication number: 20050155097Abstract: The technologies described herein are based on the discovery that expression of a toxin gene under control of an eosinophil-specific promoter can cause the ablation of eosinophils in a transgenic animal. Accordingly, the nucleic acid constructs featured in the invention are used to generate eosinophil-deficient transgenic animals that are useful for the study of pathologies and treatments relating to tissues and organ systems that typically contain eosinophils.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2004Publication date: July 14, 2005Inventors: James Lee, Nancy Lee

Publication number: 20050014165Abstract: A panel of biomarkers has been identified for analysis of colorectal cancer. The panel, originally identified using a mouse colon cancer model, has been used to assess changes in human tissue from surgical and biopsy samples against a normal human control panel of biomarkers. The panel may be used for providing a cost effective, rapid, noninvasive procedure for risk assessment, early diagnosis, establishing prognosis, monitoring patient treatment, detecting relapse, and for the discovery of therapeutic intervention of colorectal cancer.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2003Publication date: January 20, 2005Applicant: California Pacific Medical CenterInventors: Nancy Lee, Ling Chen

Publication number: 20040116724Abstract: A method is described for stereoselectively reducing an unsaturated alkyl ketone substituent attached to a fused ring base. In this method, the unsaturated alkyl ketone reacts with a chiral oxazaborolidine reagent. This reaction stereoselectively reduces the unsaturated alkyl ketone to an unsaturated alkyl alcohol. The unsaturated alkyl alcohol can be further reduced, if desired, to produce a saturated alkyl alcohol. The fused ring base can be, for example, a steroid ring base or a base of a vitamin D analog. The process in accordance with the invention can be used with an alkeneone substituent (e.g., a 22-ene-24-one substituent) or an alkyneone substituent (e.g., a 22-yne-24-one substituent) on a steroid ring base to make squalamine or other useful aminosterol compounds and intermediates for making aminosterol compounds.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2003Publication date: June 17, 2004Inventors: William A. Kinney, Steven Jones, Xuehai Zhang, Meena N. Rao, Michel Bulliard, Harold Meckler, Nancy Lee

Patent number: 6574695Abstract: A system and method for providing hot swap capability with minimal changes in a system which uses existing circuitry and drivers. In one embodiment, a computer system has a host processor and a hot-swap-capable device, each coupled to a Compact PCI bus. The device includes one or more pre-existing circuits (ASICs and/or standard off-the-shelf circuits) and corresponding pre-existing drivers. A hot-swap-capable bus bridge is interposed between the circuits and the Compact PCI bus to provide hot swap functionality while allowing the pre-existing circuits and drivers to be used without modification. In one embodiment, an Intel 21554 is used as the hot-swap-capable bus bridge. The 21554 is programmed to emulate a transparent bridge. Modified drivers in the OBP firmware and OS software allow the system to recognize the 21554 in this transparent configuration and to probe the secondary side of the 21554 for the circuits.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2000Date of Patent: June 3, 2003Assignee: Sun Microsystems, Inc.Inventors: James Mott, Arvind Kini, David Redman, Nancy Lee, Ashish Munjal
