  • Patent number: 10858894
Abstract: A safety joint having threads with a first handedness, for example right-handed threads, to connect the safety joint to an upper drill pipe portion and a lower drill pipe portion. The safety joint includes a releasable threaded connection having a second handedness inverse of the first handedness. The safety joint also includes a hydraulically actuated piston sleeve that locks rotation across the releasable threaded connection. Disconnecting the upper drill pipe portion from the lower drill pipe portion is achieved by moving the piston sleeve to a position wherein the piston sleeve does not transmit rotation across the releasable threaded connection, and rotating the upper drill pipe portion in the first handedness direction to unscrew the releasable threaded connection.

  • Publication number: 20200257849
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for an inline editing field for nested website settings. A computing device may be used to process a search query with a search engine and receive results. The search query may include a search for a particular website setting, such as a user profile, account, security, or preference setting that may allow a user to provide input and affect particular user or website data with the website. Determination of the requested website may be performed through a machine learning engine. The machine learning engine may identify the security setting nested in the website through multiple navigations, website flows, and navigations, and may extract processes and flows for use of the setting. An inline editing field may then allow for user input in a search interface that allows for editing the setting without navigation to the website and nested setting.

  • Publication number: 20200232287
Abstract: An expandable connection is configured such that a metal-to-metal seal is created upon expansion, even under different expansion ratios. The creation of the metal-to-metal seal can rely on a spring-back effect after expansion. A high pressure rating of the metal-to-metal seal that is created can be achieved with an oversized box face thickness. The expandable connection can also be configured to achieve a high tensile efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20190378171
Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine readable media are provided for targeted advertising. One or more images of individuals in a location in a facility are captured with an imaging device. Face detection is performed on the one or more images. Based on a face detection result, Convolutional Neural Network models are used to determine a gender and estimate an age of each detected face. A targeted audience is determined, based on pre-determined criteria using the age estimation and gender identification of each detected face. A relevant advertisement is selected for the targeted audience for display on a display device. The relevant advertisement may be selected based at least in part on a footfall score (fscore) indicative of customer traffic in the facility.

  • Patent number: 10411836
Abstract: A system and method for detecting Spatially Multiplexed (SM), Space Time Block Coded (STBC), or Hybrid Space Time Block Coded-Spatially Multiplexed (STBC-SM) Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) signals is disclosed. QR decomposition of the MIMO signal is performed. A constellation of symbols present in the MIMO signals is partitioned into subsets of symbols, using a set partitioning technique. A-posteriori probability (APP) of each branch is determined. Log Likelihood Ratios (LLRs) corresponding to the transmitted bits are determined using the a-posteriori probabilities. Successively, transmitted bits are determined by providing the LLRs corresponding to the transmitted bits, to a Viterbi decoder.

  • Publication number: 20170163319
Abstract: A method and a communication receiver have been described for calculating log-likelihood ratios in a communication receiver. The log-likelihood ratio is calculated for each bit of one or more subsymbols of each of the one or more spatial streams by computing effective noise on one or more spatial streams after considering noise terms resulting from MIMO detection estimates of the subsymbols on each spatial stream. Finally, signal to noise ratio is determined for one or more spatial streams from the effective noise and scaling bit log-likelihood ratios with the signal to noise ratio.
