  • Patent number: 11955834
Abstract: A backup power supply device to be connected to a conduction path from an external power supply to an external load includes a plurality of secondary batteries connected in parallel, a plurality of charging switches that can individually pass and cut off charging power from the conduction path to the plurality of secondary batteries, and a control device for performing discharging control on the plurality of secondary batteries when the power supply voltage of the conduction path drops below a predetermined power failure detection threshold value. When battery voltages of the plurality of secondary batteries drop below a predetermined charging start threshold value, the control device performs charging control with a time difference set between charging start timings of the secondary batteries.

  • Publication number: 20230307943
Abstract: The backup power supply apparatus is an apparatus that supplies power to a power-supply target apparatus operating by power supply from an external power source when a power supply state of the external power source is emergency. The backup power supply apparatus includes: a power storage section; a series regulator that is located on a line connecting the power storage section and the power-supply target apparatus; and control circuitry that changes an output voltage of the series regulator in multiple stages in accordance with a change in the power supply state of the external power source and a change in a voltage of the power storage section.

  • Publication number: 20230246478
Abstract: Provided is a backup power supply that efficiently supplies power under the control of a microcomputer. The backup power supply is charged by a rectifier for generating power of a predetermined voltage, and supplies power to a load device operating with power supplied from the rectifier when the supplied power is insufficient. The backup power supply includes a secondary battery to be charged with power from the rectifier, a control unit for controlling charging and discharging of the secondary battery, and an input/output voltage detection unit for detecting the output voltage from the rectifier. The control unit stops charging of the secondary battery or reduces a charging current flow of the secondary battery when the output voltage drops to a first threshold voltage or less.

  • Publication number: 20230216334
Abstract: An uninterruptible power supply device (UPS) for feeding a load device when power supply thereto is shut down. The UPS has battery packs, a charge and discharge circuit configured to charge and discharge the battery packs, a regulating discharge circuit including a resistance, and a control unit. When the battery pack is charged to a dischargeable upper limit voltage of the load device, the control device shifts the battery pack to a discharge inhibition condition. In the discharge inhibition condition, the battery pack is continuously charged to full capacity and prevented from being discharged to the load device. When the battery voltage is reduce to the upper limit voltage after being fully charged, the control unit allows the battery pack to discharge the load device.

  • Publication number: 20220352564
Abstract: A transmission/reception path is configured to transmit a detection result sent from a sensor to a control device and external equipment connected to a connection terminal, and transmit a program for update transmitted from the external equipment to the control device via the connection terminal. The control device can perform update for updating a control program stored in a storage unit to the program for update transmitted from the external equipment via the connection terminal and the transmission/reception path.
