    Abstract: A reflection type sensor includes a light emitting element emitting light to an object and including a plurality of LED chips disposed to be adjacent to each other and integrated into a package, and the LED chips emit light beams belonging to different wave bands. A light detecting element detects the light reflected on the object, and performs a photoelectric conversion for the light beams belonging to the different wave bands, thereby delivering a light signal. A light detecting circuit determines the presence or absence of the object on the basis of the light signal delivered from the light detecting element.

    Abstract: A photoelectric switch includes a light emitting section emitting pulse light so that intensity of the emitted pulse light is sequentially increased. A light detecting section detects the pulse light emitted by the light emitting section. A light detection signal indicative of the received light is amplified and then integrated. A high-level light detection signal is delivered by the light detecting section when an integral value is equal to or above a threshold. A determination circuit delivers a first detection signal when a duration of the light detection signal is equal or above a predetermined values. The determination circuit further delivers a stable operation signal when a set time period is reached. The light detecting section is integrated into one-chip configuration.

    Abstract: A serial data transmission device has a master unit, plural terminal units, and an abnormal detection unit connected by a signal line. Each terminal unit has an allocated address. The master unit interchanges data with each one of the plural terminal units in sequence. Each interchange of data with one terminal unit constitutes a cycle. Each terminal unit counts the number of data cycles of the master unit. When a terminal unit detects its assigned cycle number in the total sequence of cycles, a confirmation signal is output to the signal line. The abnormal detection unit determines the presence and location of an abnormality in accordance with the absence of a confirmation signal from a particular terminal.
