  • Publication number: 20120038939
Abstract: According to one embodiment, each color correction processing apparatus includes an input portion, a storing portion and a correction portion. The input portion inputs each image signal value corresponding to each color component for each recording head block in order to record a color image by a plurality of recording head blocks. The storing portion records reference color deviation amount data that shows a plurality of reference color deviation amounts corresponding to a plurality of reference color points for each recording head block. The correction portion corrects each image signal value on the basis of the reference color deviation amount data. Furthermore, the correction portion corrects a correction target image signal value corresponding to non-reference color points shifted from the reference color points by the interpolation on the basis of the reference color deviation amount data.

  • Patent number: 7876473
Abstract: A dot pattern including a set of plural dots arranged substantially periodically is formed. When positions of the plural dots are shifted dot by dot, a combination of an amount and a direction of shift of dot positions to be shifted is changed. A pattern obtained by repeating, for each predetermined period, a pattern processed in this way is superimposed on an image. Sizes of the respective dots are the same and only dot positions of the dots are shifted. Therefore, plural dot patterns having different amounts and directions of shift of dot positions visually look like uniform patterns and a sense of hindrance is low.

  • Patent number: 7336396
Abstract: An image processing apparatus extracts a contour pixel of a binary input image signal in a contour pixel extraction portion, and calculates a line thinning amount from the extracted contour pixel based on a preset parameter in a line thinning amount calculation portion. The apparatus judges whether black pixel areas of the binary input image signal are connected in a finite area including a target pixel in a finite area connectivity judgment portion. The apparatus adds a line thinning amount to the binary input image signal of the target pixel in accordance with the judgment by the finite area connectivity judgment portion and outputs obtained results in a selective correction output portion.

  • Publication number: 20060230341
Abstract: In an image editing apparatus, an image input section inputs an original image. A processor section compresses the input image and stores the compressed input image as an image file in a memory section. The processor section decompresses the image file that is stored in the memory section, and executes a layout analysis process and extracts layout information. Based on the layout information obtained by the layout analysis process and a prescribed rule, the processor section executes rearrangement of layout. Image information, which includes the rearranged information and layout information before and after the rearrangement, is stored in the memory section as a file.

  • Patent number: 7006253
Abstract: A number of character string determination sections determine whether a pixel of interest corresponds to a character or a line drawing. The character string determination sections use mutually different determination methods. A character determination selector section selects a determination result output from the character determination section that uses a determination method most suited to a background sensing result obtained by a background sensing section. In this manner, either the character or the line drawing can be determined using an efficient method in accordance with the background state of a color image.
