  • Patent number: 6370111
Abstract: A method for controlling communication of mobile equipment in which the power consumed by the repetition of useless asynchronous reception for establishing synchronization can be reduced. The control unit (5) of a mobile station which is the mobile equipment controls the duration of asynchronous reception suspending time elapsed until asynchronous reception is resumed after the asynchronous reception is suspended for synchronization establishing so the duration can be extended in accordance with the number of continuous synchronization establishment failure or the time continuously elapsed from a failure when the synchronization establishment between the mobile station and a base station has continuously failed.

  • Publication number: 20010009850
Abstract: A radio communication apparatus for transmitting speech data by encoding and compressing data, and multiplexing in a TDMA/TDD method has developed to have automatic answering function wherein the received speech data (compressed data) is stored in a semiconductor memory and reproduced thereafter when the user wishes. The tone quality of the received speech data is detected on the basis of the received control data, and the parameter indicating the tone quality is recorded together with the speech data. The recorded speech data is reproduced in accordance with the parameter. Such parameters as unique word error indicating no synchronization in the speech data and CRC error indicating the occurrence of some error in the received speech data are used as the parameter. When the unique word error occurs, speech data all the bits of which are “0” is used for the speech data. When the CRC error occurs, the decoded speech data may be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 5557647
Abstract: A baseband signal demodulator which ensures, when digital signal processing for data corresponding to one time slot fails to be terminated within a duration of the time slot, a processing clock for the data even in a period exceeding the time slot. In the demodulator, a receive clock reproducer reproduces a receive clock based on a received baseband signal and a phase error data generator generates phase error data indicative of a phase error between the reproduced receive clock and a system clock for control of an entire receiver. Further, a sampling clock generator changes a phase of the system clock based on the phase error data to generate an optimum sampling clock to the baseband signal and a receive data generator generates receive data corresponding to the baseband signal sampled at its optimum positions based on the optimum sampling clock. Thereafter, a data timing adjustor adjusts synchronization of the receive data with the system clock based on the phase error data.

  • Patent number: 5327461
Abstract: A voice communication apparatus in which voice and voiceless parts are detected from voice signal data which is derived from analog-to-digital converted input voice signal, the voice signal data is temporarily stored in a transmitting buffer in a time series manner so that, when a voice part is detected, transmission of the voice signal data stored in the transmitting buffer is started from a voice start point of the voice part preceding a voice detection point, whereby a head part truncation, which would occur at the time of shifting from the voiceless part to the voice part can be eliminated and thus a high quality of natural speech communication can be realized.
