  • Patent number: 11050007
Abstract: A light emitting device includes a plurality of light emitting elements each including a light extraction surface, a plurality of phosphor layers each covering the light extraction surface of a corresponding one of the light emitting elements with a larger plane area than the light extraction surface, and a plurality of light transmissive members. Each of the light transmissive members has a lower surface facing a corresponding one of the phosphor layers and having a larger plane area than the light extraction surface of a corresponding one of the light emitting elements, an upper surface having a larger plane area than the lower surface, and a side surface having a vertical surface portion contiguous with the upper surface. The light reflecting member surrounds the side surface of each of the light transmissive members.

  • Patent number: 6431690
Abstract: In an ink jet head according to the invention, an electrode provided on an actuator board has two-layer structure. A first layer is made of a noble metal such as palladium containing phosphorus or boron with a property of being able to form a layer directly on a piezoelectric element of the actuator board, such as PZT. A second layer, to be formed on the first layer, is made of a noble metal the same kind of metal used for the first layer and with high degree of purity close to 100%. This structure improves corrosion resistance to ink, eliminates the necessity to form a conventional protective layer, and leads to reductions of the manufacturing steps and costs.

  • Patent number: 4921376
Abstract: An arbor for mounting a tool such as a drill or a grindstone to the end of a spindle of a machine tool and a machining method of employing such arbor. The arbor comprises a lubricant receiving member provided in the main body for receiving a lubricant supplied, and a lubricant passageway provided in the main body and extending between the lubricant receiving member and the tool mounting portion for flowing the lubricant from the lubricant receiving member to the tool mounting portion so as to supply the lubricant into an interior of the tool. The lubricant supplied from the spindle or another source of supply is allowed to flow through the lubricant receiving member and the lubricant passageway, and is supplied into an interior of the tool to ensure the appropriate supply of the lubricant to the area in which the tool acts upon the workpiece.
