  • Publication number: 20230234380
Abstract: A belt suitable for detection of a meandering amount of the belt and detection of a reference position for one round of the belt is realized with a simple configuration. The recording device belt has a plurality of marks for belt position detection disposed in a transport direction of the belt. Each of the plurality of marks has: a first specific portion whose dimension in the transport direction differs depending on a position in an intersecting direction that intersects with the transport direction; and a second specific portion whose dimension in the transport direction is constant regardless of the position in the intersecting direction. The plurality of marks include a reference mark whose dimension in the transport direction of the second specific portion is different from that of the other marks in the plurality of marks.

  • Patent number: 9772491
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a rotating polygon mirror, a motor, a bearing portion, a measurement processing portion, and a determination processing portion. The rotating polygon mirror causes a light beam emitted from the light source to be scanned. The motor rotates the rotating polygon mirror. The bearing portion rotatably supports a rotation shaft of the motor via a lubricant. The measurement processing portion measures a transition time that is a time required for the motor to transition from a stationary state to a driving state in which the motor rotates at a predetermined speed. The determination processing portion determines whether or not a maintenance is required, based on the transition time measured by the measurement processing portion.

  • Patent number: 9641111
Abstract: A stepping motor driving device includes a table, a driving pulse control part, an interpolation number indicating part and a driving part. The table stores thinned data which is thinned from original data and designates a pulse width of a driving pulse relating to a slow-up control or a slow-down control of a stepping motor. The driving pulse control part sequentially reads the thinned data from the table at predetermined intervals, to interpolate the thinned data in accordance with a given interpolation number so as to generate interpolated data and to output the driving pulse with the pulse width designated by the thinned data or the interpolated data by sequentially using the thinned data and the interpolated date at predetermined intervals. The interpolation number indicating part indicates the interpolation number to the driving pulse control part. The driving part drives the stepping motor in accordance with the driving pulse.

  • Patent number: 9483011
Abstract: A target cycle recording portion (821) records target cycle data (Tref) into a first ring buffer (824) each time a reference pulse signal (Ps) is generated, thereby recording the target cycle data (Tref) sequentially into the first ring buffer (824). A measured cycle recording portion (822) records measured cycle data (Tenc) into a second ring buffer (825) each time an encoder pulse signal (Pe) is generated, thereby recording the measured cycle data (Tenc) sequentially into the second ring buffer (825). A phase error calculating portion (823) calculates a phase error PHE by integrating a difference between the target cycle data (Tref) and the measured cycle data (Tenc) that are sequentially recorded in data buffers respectively in correspondence with each other in the two ring buffers.

  • Patent number: 8922845
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an exposing section, a pulse generating section, a frequency storing section, an emission control section, a smoothing section, and a driving-current generating section. The pulse generating section generates a periodic pulse signal indicating light amount of light beam emitted by a light source of the exposing section. The frequency storing section stores in advance a plurality of frequencies of the pulse signal. The emission control section selects, in the rendering of each main scanning line, any one of the plurality of frequencies and instructs the pulse generating section to generate the pulse signal having the selected frequency. The smoothing section smoothes the pulse signal generated by the pulse generating section according to the instruction of the emission control section and generates analog signal. The driving-current generating section generates driving current for the light source of the exposing section on the basis of the analog signal.

  • Patent number: 8836742
Abstract: Image forming apparatus includes elements as follows. Light-amount storing section stores, in the main scanning line divided into a plurality of blocks, light amounts of a light beam irradiated on the blocks. Change-data storing section stores a plurality of change data items set in the vicinity of each of block boundaries of the plurality of blocks. The plurality of change data items are used to cope with each of a plurality of events that are likely to affect the image quality in the vicinity of the block boundary. Irradiation control section selects, out of the plurality of change data items, change data for coping with an event selected out of the plurality of events and instructs Pulse generating section to generate, in the vicinity of the block boundary, pulse signal from which analog signal indicating a change in a value represented by the selected change data is obtained.

  • Patent number: 8749605
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive body, an exposure unit, a pulse generating unit, a smoothing unit, a drive current generating unit, and a second emitting control unit. The exposure unit includes a light source for emitting a light beam, and causes the light beam emitted from the light source to perform scanning in a main scanning direction, thereby drawing a main scanning line on the photosensitive body. The second emitting control unit causes the light source to emit the light beam, in an APC period of automatically controlling the light quantity of the light beam, by causing the pulse generating unit to generate a pulse signal having a duty ratio of 100 percent, causing the smoothing unit to smooth the pulse signal thereby generating an analog signal, and causing the drive current generating unit to generate a drive current based on the analog signal.
