  • Publication number: 20220080556
Abstract: Object: To provide a grinding wheel and a method of manufacturing a grinding wheel having added value while providing a suppressed manufacturing cost. Solution Means: The grinding wheel is a grinding wheel including an abrasive portion including nonwoven fabric, wherein the abrasive portion includes an outer peripheral portion formed with the nonwoven fabric including abrasive grains on an outer peripheral side, and an inner peripheral portion formed with the nonwoven fabric not including the abrasive grains, and a ratio of a thickness in a radial direction of the outer peripheral portion to a thickness in a radial direction of the abrasive portion is from 3% to 60%.

  • Publication number: 20200306933
Abstract: Object: To provide a polishing sheet capable of efficiently polishing a hard material such as a metal product so as to form a smooth surface with minimal unevenness. Solution: A polishing sheet (10) including: a substrate (11); a plurality of three-dimensional elements (12) containing abrasive grains and a binding material; and an intermediate layer (13) provided between the three-dimensional elements (12) and the substrate (11) so as to join the substrate (11) and the three-dimensional elements (12), wherein a Youngs modulus of the substrate (11) at 25° C. is not less than 3.0×109Pa; and a Youngs modulus of the intermediate layer (13) at 25° C. is not less than 1.0×107Pa and not greater than 5.0×108Pa.

  • Patent number: 8469777
Abstract: To provide a linear abrasive brush member, in which filament parts are hardly broken, a substrate part is excellent in deformability, and also, abrasion ability is excellent. A linear abrasive brush member comprising: an embedded core material (9); a rod-shaped substrate part (7) having opposite long-narrow upper and bottom faces; and a plurality of filament parts (8) present on the upper surface along the longitudinal direction; and the substrate part and the filament parts being integrally molded from a resin composition.

  • Patent number: 6431971
Abstract: This invention provides an abrasive brush having strength and abrasive characteristics similar or superior to those of conventional brushes, and which allows a brush assembly having a desired width dimension and a desired brush surface hardness to be readily and easily assembled. A disk-shaped abrasive brush 1 includes a radial inner hub 5 and a radial outer brush section 3, preferably the hub 5 being integrally formed with the brush section 3. The hub 5 is provided with a flat part, a recessed part 9, 11, and a projecting part 7. When two adjacent abrasive brushes are aligned adjacent to each other, the flat, recessed and projecting parts of the abrasive brushes are engaged with each other and define a pitch between the abrasive brushes.

  • Patent number: 5327601
Abstract: A split abrasive roll is provided, including cooperative engaging members (3) disposed on both the rotatable shaft (2) of an abrasive machine and the inner surface of the roll member. The cooperative engaging members affix the center portion of the split abrasive roll to the shaft, while preserving a uniform abrasive outer surface. The respective ends (3b) of each of the roll members are also retained, and the split abrasive roll so provided tends to overcome the deficiencies in the split abrasive rolls of the prior art.
