  • Publication number: 20170121207
Abstract: A gob forming device for forming a gob that is fed into a mold for molding a glass product after adjusting the gob to an optimum weight and shape, the gob forming device comprising: one or two cameras 71,72 configured to capture one or more images of a gob in the falling path of the gob, the gob being obtained by cutting molten glass extruded from a circular orifice 11 of a gob feeder 1; an image processor 70 configured to perform image processing to measure the weight of the gob and feature values of the gob based on the one or more 2-D images of the gob captured by the one or two cameras, the feature values defining the shape of the gob, the weight and the feature values being measured by approximating the shape of the gob's cross section in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction as a circle or ellipse and; drive mechanisms 40, 50, and 64 to 66 configured to individually drive respective adjustment mechanisms to adjust the gob to achieve a desired weight and shape; a storage device con

  • Publication number: 20160377338
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a container refrigeration apparatus (10) for cooling air in a container (11). The container refrigeration apparatus (10) includes: a gas supply device (30) which produces nitrogen-enriched air having a higher nitrogen concentration than outside air and supplies the nitrogen-enriched air into the container (11) via a supply passage (44); an oxygen concentration sensor (51) which measures an oxygen concentration of the air in the container (11); and a controller which controls the operation of the gas supply device (30) so that the oxygen concentration measured by the oxygen concentration sensor (51) reaches a target concentration. The container refrigeration apparatus (10) is provided with a measurement passage (88) which guides part of the nitrogen-enriched air passing through the supply passage (44) to the oxygen concentration sensor (51), and an on-off valve (82) is provided for the measurement passage (88).

  • Patent number: 9489587
Abstract: A character reader 200 for reading and recognizing a character displayed at a predetermined height position on the outer peripheral surface of a plurality of cylindrical containers (for example, bottles BT), the character reader includes: a rotary drive mechanism 203 to 207 for supporting the cylindrical container to rotate the cylindrical container around the central axis thereof; a camera 201 positioned to face the cylindrical container so that a character displayed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical container is captured within the visual field; and an image processing device for acquiring an image at the height position where the character is displayed over an angular range more than one rotation of the cylindrical container by controlling the imaging operation of the camera 201, thereby executing recognition processing.

  • Publication number: 20160245555
Abstract: Disclosed herein a technique for producing a gas mixture for controlling an oxygen concentration in the interior of a container while reducing the overall weight of the apparatus. For this purpose, a gas mixture supply device is provided for a container refrigeration apparatus. The gas mixture supply device is provided with adsorption columns. If one of the first and second adsorption columns is supplied with air, the adsorption columns are pressurized, and nitrogen in the air is adsorbed onto an adsorbent. If air is sucked from the other of the first and second adsorption columns, the adsorption columns are depressurized, and nitrogen adsorbed onto the adsorbent is desorbed. A gas mixture including the nitrogen desorbed from the adsorbent is supplied to the interior of a container.

  • Publication number: 20160227802
Abstract: An oxygen concentration in the interior of a container is detected by an oxygen concentration detection sensor. If the oxygen concentration detected by the oxygen concentration detection sensor is higher than that of a gas mixture, the container is supplied with the gas mixture having an oxygen concentration lower than that of the outside air and higher than a target concentration. The oxygen concentration in the interior of the container is reduced to the vicinity of the oxygen concentration of the gas mixture by supplying the interior of the container with the gas mixture, and then is further reduced to the target concentration by respiration of plants. This appropriately controls the oxygen concentration in the interior of the container, and reduces a decrease in the degree of freshness of the plants.
