  • Patent number: 7782795
Abstract: A management router is assigned for each of a division multicast domains obtained from dividing a multicast domain into predetermined divisions, and each of the management routers shares information concerning a location of a multi-cast information source belonging to the division multicast domain for which each of the management routers is assigned.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 24, 2010

  • Patent number: 7508827
Abstract: A multicast routing program for allowing multicast data to be transmitted via a different route from a route for unicast data with higher reliability. A state-determining section determines whether all links on a predetermined transmission line to a multicast-transmission terminal device are connected, upon receiving a multicast reception request. If all the links on the predetermined transmission line are connected, a multicast-reception-request transmission section transmits the multicast reception request over the predetermined transmission line. If a link on the predetermined transmission line is disconnected, the multicast reception request is transmitted over a different transmission line. When receiving multicast data from the multicast-transmission terminal device, a multicast-data transfer section transmits multicast data through a communication interface to which the multicast reception request has been input.

  • Patent number: 6512771
Abstract: The present invention concerns a transmission bandwidth sharing system and provides, in particular, a transmission bandwidth sharing apparatus used in an ATM exchange for sharing one CBR bandwidth on an ATM line among a plurality of ATM terminals in a multimedia network or the like. The CBR bandwidth sharing apparatus comprises a bandwidth management table for registering bandwidth and information relating to the bandwidth for each identified CBR bandwidth, a bandwidth sharing management table for registering, for each identified CBR bandwidth, one or more terminals that use the bandwidth for CBR communication and information relating to the one or more terminals, and a signal transmission timing management table for registering valid signal transmission timings of the registered terminals for each identified CBR bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20020097683
Abstract: In an ATM switch, upon the occurrence of a line fault, an SNMP agent of an ATM switch on a called side detects a line fault and notifies the line fault to a calling side by a trap signal. An SNMP agent having an SNMP manager function of an ATM switch on the calling side receives the trap signal. A line manager specifies a line on which a fault has occurred based on line fault information of the trap signal and switches over to a predetermined alternate line. Also, the ATM switch has a PNNI interface mounted thereon and notifies a PNNI line fault to the calling side by the trap signal.
